Here we have a story about a bitter ex-wife (who probably reaped millions in the divorce settlement) banging on the new wife by purchasing domain names that are actually the new wife's name. As technology takes over our lives, we find alternatives to crudities like keying the bitch's car or slashing her tires. This is one weird story. This from the actual lawsuit:

Quote7. In May, 1994, Defendant married Jeff Dunham, now a renowned ventriloquist, producer, and stand-up comedian. Due to irreconcilable differences, Defendant and Jeff Dunham subsequently divorced.

8. On or about December 25, 2011, Jeff Dunham and Plaintiff were engaged to be married. Defendant was aware of Plaintiff and Plaintiff's engagement with Jeff Dunham at that time.

9. On or about January 3, 2012, Defendant, without notice to Plaintiff, registered the following domain names through Network Solutions, LLC, a domain name registering company: AudreyDunham.com, AudreyDunham.net, AudreyDunham.us, and AudreyDunham.biz (collectively "Accused Domains"). On information and belief, Defendant concealed her name as the registrant for AudreyDunham.com, AudreyDunham.net, and AudreyDunham.biz domains by employing the services of Perfect Privacy, LLC, a company that specializes in keeping the identities of domain name registrants private. Defendant knew at the time she registered the Accused Domains, that Plaintiff would soon change her name to AUDREY DUNHAM....

It would appear that "Perfect Privacy LLC", didn't live up to their claim.

Note that Perfect Privacy handled only three of the four acquisitions. When four nearly-identical domain names vanish almost simultaneously, and you can determine where one of 'em went, it ain't exactly brain surgery to figure out who snagged the other three. Of course, that ain't proof, but as any detective will tell you, the very best clue you can get is knowing exactly where to look.  :tounge:

FWIW, I'm a HUGE Jeff Dunham fan, and I've read accounts of his breakup with the first Mrs. Dunham. Not pretty. So ugly, in fact, that he has gone on record putting her down. She was there when he was nothing, etc. etc. Very bitter.

However, they still needed solid evidence to bring a lawsuit, which obviously they attained, from a supposedly private server that touts itself as "Perfect Privacy LLC".
I'm guessing Jeff's attorney's put the fear of God in them, so much so, they were willing to forego their moniker statement so as to avoid a lengthy legal battle with the deep pockets of Dunham.

Yeah, I'm a fan too, and I also think his ex drove him away. Sure, the thing she was attracted to, required months away on the road with adoring fans, and her inadequacies couldn't allow her to share in his glory, but a huge divorce settlement sure could ease her pain and inflict the same damages she believes she endured on his rise to the top.

Sorry, no sympathy for the bitch, it wasn't her talent that made Jeff, and obviously it wasn't love that made him number 1 in his field..
