I suppose I'm the new kid on the block.  Not really!

I'm no kid at all.  I am a 68 yr. old woman who moved to north Texas three years ago.

Prior to that I spent nine years on the road with my husband in our motorhome traveling all the States and Canada.

Prior to that we spent years living in the far East and Middle East and traveling the world.  My husband and I raised three kids .... mostly in Indonesia but also Saudi Arabia.  We home schooled our kids for many years..... and they are now grown and gone.

Almost three months ago I fell down the stairs in my home and broke fourteen bones and suffered a concussion and collapsed lung.  Recovery has been long and slow and I spend a lot of time on my computer...... which brought me to you fine people.

It is nice to be among fellow conservatives and activists.  Oh yeah..... I am a member of the Cruz Crew!
Welcome Kroz, and sorry about the concussion. I had one nearly 20 years ago which led me to posting in political forums too. Before that I was in mining and geology sites, but once memory loss set in, I moved to political forums.
A full year to recovery and still doing politics. Addictive, isn't it?

Thank you all for your warm words of welcome.  It is a pleasure to be here.

Yes, politics is additive!  I have been involved since registering American ex-patriots living abroad to vote in the elections.  I was trying to light fires under voters long before the Tea Party existed.  But when the Tea Party was first being organized in 2009 I signed on as a card caring member during the embryonic stage!

And Wakstall, thanks for the heads up. I will keep my eye peeled for the BOO guy!

Ok, I now take over the Office of Newest Guy with all the duties and responsibilities that entails and which I can shirk.

I am now 72 years old and have been a Conservative activist since I was 17 (yes, I did say 17). I both worked as a volunteer for and voted for (first Presidential vote) Barry Goldwater.

Over the years I have watched my beloved country decline more and more into the cultural muck which is then reflected in its politics (the former informs and inspires the latter).

Currently I am active as a PCO in my county Republican Party and as treasurer for my local Tea Party. Though pessimistic about our country's future I still try to fight the good fight. Most of all, though, I rely on Heavenly Father to ultimately protect and guide us; but I fear that will not fully occur until after, just as with Israel, we experience a severe and well deserved chastisement resulting from our immorality, particularly the abominable practice of abortion.

Beyond that I am a bibliophile and much enjoy sharing news stories of import with other concerned individuals. Hopefully, I will be able to contribute something of value to these discussions and also to make some new friends.

Howdy taxed. I stumbled onto the link to this site on a thread over at Breitbart News and I'm glad that I did. I might even run across some familar names from there on here.
