In today's political era, the libs aren't going to address the complete failure of Obamacare or the stupendous incompetence surrounding their pathetic website. Saturday Night Live has made it a running joke, and now even David Gregory and Chris Matthews are making noises like they too want to distance themselves from their original flatbacking for the Obama 7th Fleet.

Gloriosky, Orphan Annie. Looks like the 'Rats are abandoning ship.

Young lady, need help just ask.   The more you know the more fun you can have.  If you like you can always PM someone for help also.

I wanted to join and introduce myself to fellow conservatives. My name is Matt. I am a proud conservative. I am not really so much a Reagan conservative (I have doubts about "supply-side" economics, for instance) but an independent conservative. I used to be a progressive although I could never stand people like Bill Clinton or Nancy Pelosi. I am in favor of free-market enterprise, limited government, the Fair Tax (although I am open to a flat tax or a "head tax"). I am undecided on the abortion issue as of now. I have traditionally been prochoice but I find myself a moderate.

Several founding fathers of our great nation were religious liberals. I have in mind Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Paine, and others. Like them, I am a religious liberal (a Unitarian Universalist; I am an agnostic who leans slightly towards deism). I am probably one of the few UUs who is also a conservative (I might be considered a neoconservative considering that I favor a peace-through-strength approach to foreign policy).

I am a 35 year old guy from California who loves his country, is proud of our military and law enforcement, and wants a society that is more responsible than "compassionate" (hence one reason I am a conservative).

Welcome to Conservative Political Forum.

This is a place you can tell us about yourself if you wish.

Please remember safety first at all times.  The net is not a place to give out private information.

Gender, age and state would be safe.  Even a very large city.   Pass all other information by PM or E-Mail only if and when you feel very safe about it.

I am walkstall as I use this aka on more the one board.  On this board I am just call walks.   Male, Washington State, Age hmmm.. lol I remember the big bang, if that will help.   Some of us go back 10 or more years with each other from other boards.  We hope you enjoy yourself.

No gender, (given the date today) old enough to remember vividly the day Kennedy was shot (though this morning I felt as old as the nano-particle or VOID or whatever before the BIG BANG), a Floridian, not a native (though here more years than I want to admit being alive), and exist tempermentally and politically somewhere in the half-world of the extended South and the region of  Yankee transplants.

the outlaw mortarman

My name is the outlaw mortarman. I live in Sparta, WI. I served in the US Army from '76-'80 in Germany. Up until this last September I worked at the PX at Ft. McCoy as a cashier. It was a great job. I got to interact with real American heroes. I got laid off in September because the Sequester finally caught up with us. Also there was the impending shutdown to contend with. So now I am looking for a new job. Yes I am drawing unemployment, butt no more than I am allotted an' also consider that I had worked for the past 2 1/2 years an' earned it. It is called unemployment insurance an' is there for this sort of thing.

Also about myself. I am 57 years old an' an Atheist. Now before you get your hackles up, I am a true Atheist an' not one of those libtard Faux-Atheists who want's to replace religion with the gubmint. Unlike the President, I am not lying when I say that if you like your religion, you can keep it. Period. I prolly will lay out my philosophy as far as religion goes at a later time, butt suffice to say, I do believe that Faux-Atheism is trying to rid us of religion because the followers of this false philosophy are immoral an' true religions challenge that.

I think that's enough for now. I will get to know you an' you will get to know me.

Welcome Outlaw.
You have it dialed in, Conservatives don't care what another belief system one entails, or sex they prefer, as long as they leave others alone.

Hello. This is my first post here. I guess at this point of my life I have become more of a political mutt with strong leanings toward conservatism. Meaning that I don't fit the mold of what passes as conservative today. I am fiscally and socially conservative with a heavy leaning toward state rights. I am also pro labor union as I believe everyone should have a say in what goes on in his or her workplace and for keeping it as local as possible without all the democrat back scratching. I believe in America first trade policies and am not for any kind of policy that drives down America's standard of living. I am not pro amnesty whatsoever. So with these things said, hello again and I look forward to civil discussion.

I think you have a pretty good understanding of the concept, and welcome to the forum.
Though I have no doubt we can enlighten you on the union aspect, a worker has absolutely no right to dictate how his employer runs a PRIVATE entity, ever!
He doesn't like it, he has the right to seek other employment.

NOPE!  That's the old 'conservatives'.  Yall are dying off!   The new batch wants you to be Christian, by CHURCH AFFILIATION, be it Catholic, Baptist, Primitive Baptist, etc. etc.  (And a couple of particularly 'devout' Baptists told me my old CHRISTIAN religion was a 'dark religion'--whatever the hell that meant).  The 'wishy washy' PRESBYS and even LUTHERANS are TOAST in their eyes. Unitarians?  Forget about it!!  And the new group sure as hell have alot to say with who one prefers to sleep with!  (MORE THAN I DISCUSSED IT IN 60+ YEARS ON THE EARTH).  So nope, the CONSERVATISM is intrusive, restrictive, small minded and in your business (and your boxers).

You do know that at least part of Bush's new post-presidency cause is to help a group "Jews for Jesus" get JEWS signed up/signed on/'converted' to CHRISTIANITY so--if I got this straight (and believe me it is MUDDLED biblical 'theory' to me), when all the Jews convert, the whole lot of them and the 'born agains' will ascend to Heaven??  I guess leaving us sinners or undecideds to perish on the earth?   Anyway, apparently JEWISH groups are pissed and/or alarmed.  I have no idea what various Christian groups think about ti.
