Hello there all, nice to meet you!

I'm a conservative/libertarian fusion college student from New Jersey. I study political science. I'm glad to find such a great forum!

I don't admit this very often but I was once a NJ member, Grew up at the Jersey Shore.
Good luck glad to have another con here.

Forums aren't something new to me, I thought about taking a long rest from any Political discussions since in the end it has no effect on what all of us believe.  I think the past 4 years I have harbored so much hatred for the mess living on Pennsylvania Ave it just took all the fun out of posting.  I made no new friends and certainly lost none and I still hate the people living on Pennsylvania Ave.  I'm sure somewhere you would find my name on a long list of "who to watch closely"... so I guess I'll just continue hating, but with a smile.

New here today. Been posting on XXXXXXX and XXXXXXXX   for a while, though. I post under marv there, but I fatfingered the keys and got matv over here. Should've paid closer attention before I hit <ENTER>.

And yes, I browse around XXXXXXXXXXXX for yucks. Check it out, you'll either laugh or cry.

Seems I've come across shooterman on another board a while back, but I can't recall which.

Back to me; I'm a veteran (USAF and Army), and I did my time in hell. But that's all over now. Now I'm a retired DoD civilian systems engineer (large computer systems, IBM and Amdahl, were my gig). And I saw plenty of fraud, crap and corruption in USDA and Interior as well as DoD. Filed one case with DoD and got whiffed off.

I've also got a website at XXXXXXXXXX

Sorry young man, I removed your link.

Please check with admin before posting other board.
Please check with Solar or taxed.
Thank you, walks

Hi I came here because my right-wing views were not being accepted on other forums, I've been banned out of two for them (wow people there really must not like conservatives).  So I've washed ashore here to see if I cannot just discuss my political views without being smacked in the face for it and just have a good time.

Hello, I am a 35 yr old married conservative woman from pottstown, PA, with no kids.  I wanted to find a place with people that have similar conservative values and just somwhere that I will fit in.  It is not easy finding like minded conservatives, and I believe we are a dying breed.  I've been reading Greg Gutfelds book "The Joy of Hate", and it has encouraged me to reach out as a conservative and no be ashamed and to not fear that I will not be liked.  Liberals will reject you almost instantly if they found our you are consesrvative.  Heck, my own sister disowned me for voting for Mitt Romney.  Anyway, I hope to learn more, make more friends, share conservative ideals, and discuss even some liberal ideals while here on this site.

Welcome young lady.

As you sound like a new poster on boards, please remember always keep most of your personal information off the board when posting.  As you get to know people you can pass personal information by way of PM's   Your safety should always come first.

Now then you will find some very nice ladies on the board for the same reason.

Day  late and a dollar short, I guess.  Already dropped a few posts.   Long time board, forum, UG, SIG, etc user.  Since like the mid 70's (ya, pre-internet).

Others may know me from other boards as Byteryder.  Prior to that (pre-internet) I was Max.  Those are the only two handles I've used for the past 40 + years of on-line activity.  Prior to that it was Amateur radio, K9PDX

The bent here is Conservative.  Not radical, extreme, or activist.

Be seeing you in the threads..

Not in IT exactly.  Spent first 8 years in USAF in Air Weather Service.  After that went into Illinois Bell Telephone Co.

Function at IBT was Electronic Switching Tech (#1 ESS).  We were one for the first few ESS operations in the US.  We went digital in spring of 1970.  In the early days of ESS we techs did everything from software creation/modification/trouble shooting (at Assembly language level), hardware mainlines and modification, pretty much anything.  Our "class" was the 3rd class through the IBT school at the time.

Worked in the front-lines of wire-line telecom and watched all the changes from plain old phones to some of the best business communication systems at the time.

Went through all the corporate transitions..IBT -> Ameritech -> SBC -> AT+T.  It was a fun time.  I was one of the lucky ones who got to earn his living doing what he liked to do.  Vocation = Avocation.
