I am a member of that other conservative forum. Unfortunately over there, Trump is viewed  as Godlike by many, especially the powers to be. Have read this forum for about 4 years. Time to join and fight the good fight.

Which other conservative forum?  Only one is this one.  There's some doozies out there calling themselves a forum but I've been in that rodeo once or twice myself and it was no fun.   Hope you didn't get too jaded over there and welcome here.  The folks here are great and this forum IS the most read.

This is my introductory post. I have been a Constitutional-Conservative since August 14th, 1976, the date I became a Biblical-Christian. I'm a strict constructionist/originalist with The Bible first, and also with The Declaration of Independence, The Federalist Papers, The Constitution and The Bill of Rights including the 11th Amendment.
I use as reliable and verifiable sources as possible when doing a write-up. Sources I site frequently are:
The National Review
The American Thinker
The Right Scoop
The Religion of Peace
Jihad Watch
Conservative Review
Constitution Rising
The Federalist
Human Events
Western Journalism
Young Conservatives
Conservative Fifty
Bare-Naked Islam
Pamela Gellar
David Horowitz
Mark Levin
Theodore and Walid Shoebat
The Weekly Standard...

I believe in presenting each write-up with links and quotes to/from reliable and trustworthy sites.
I let the evidence speak and stand for itself.

Welcome. Stick with the above and you will fit in quite well here.

The danger to America is not Barack Obama but the citizens capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency.

Allow me to introduce myself, and waste your time... yeah, I am kinda new, at least time-wise.

I like to make wifey & the kids smile, so after 35 years of cracking jokes, as a warning to the sensitive types - don't tell me what bugs you.
We live on a small farmette, I am the Farmer's husband... I like ducks, and can watch my favorite ducks in the front pond I dug especially for them.
If visiting us is on your mind, our Dobermans have been clocked <5 seconds from the front door to the driveway fence, 400' away.
They have outrun full grown deer, in one case circled a fleeing buck.  If you try to hide, we also have a trained search & rescue bloodhound on duty, he'll find you alive... or dead.  The other dog I won't mention, he's on my "list" and hides under th bed during thunderstorms.

And as a really gruesome warning, we have a sign posted,
WARNING MONKEYS!  Their bite is quite painful and highly infectious!
Think about it ... they do.

I am what some would call, a Fundamentalist, Bible Thumping, KJV1611, something-or-other, follower of Jesus Christ.
Yep, one of those guys, just watch out, I ain't perfected yet, and I'm still a pretty good shot with a 25-06.
I enjoy the life I have been given, including the years since when I should have been dead, which is several times.

Some of my forefathers were here a long time, before it was a nation - but, that doesn't bother me as much as the BLM (Bureau of Land Management), I don't tan very well, I get RED.  My other forefathers were white, so I occasionally tan orange, and I like cold weather.

Politically speaking, I love America, it's foundation and thank God for being born & raised here.
I love Freedom, Liberty, Privacy, and would not give up any for the promise of "security".

A Political Conservative, IMO, loves a minimalist government, strong borders & military to keep us safe, but would never turn those forces against the people they have pledged to serve and protect.

A Constitutional Conservative, IMO, looks to the Bill of Rights as the Federal governmental restrictions and limitations, with all the other crazy ideas being left to the States to decide.  And, they own no property that resides outside of Washington DC which has no military purpose.

A Fiscal Conservative, IMO, doesn't try to manipulate or stabilize monetary policy, because it's already backed by Gold and Silver (if necessary).  They also are government minimalists, not looking for the next opportunity to spend money, but how to spend the least amount of the Taxpayer's dollars wisely - and keep what's not needed working in a free market economy.

A Social Conservative, IMO, doesn't look to the government to set moral standards, but encourages and stays out of Churches, so they can freely care for the sick, preach the good news, and be the moral support system for a troubled world.  This person also believes as a last resort, when the people cannot defend themselves, police - the arm of the state, has the right & responsibility to serve and protect American citizens from those who would attempt to take away our lives, our liberty and pursuit of happiness.

A Religious Conservative has a 5lb KJV Bible with an embossed cover, which will leave a clear mark should you be slapped with it.
This person reads, studies and thinks about the Bible, though far from perfect, they struggle as much as anyone else in the desire to please God.  This person isn't out to resolve perceived social injustices, but will attempt to win over others to their point of view - which is centered on Jesus Christ, and called the great commission.  All judgment is left to Jesus Christ, but in this time, He is most Merciful.

Most of that fits nicely with a TEA party Conservative, eh?  Well, I guess that would be -ME-

Most of my free time is spent "tinkering" with HAM radio, Alternative Energy, and amusing my wife and kids.
We haven't had a TV since 1988, but, still hear enough about it through co-workers to know it's still a waste of time.
We've probably had every local library book in the house at one time - we all read.

A couple of my kids have been politically involved in campaigns, but I'm not allowed to say it's TED CRUZ ... to anyone, I can neither confirm nor deny, and it's a need-to-know basisI can say, the political picture for America is a bright future, there are MANY of these kids involved, for quite some time, and we need to recognize them and encourage them.

Since I work for "The Internet" as a job, surfing it... is boring, so I don't.  Looking at my bookmarks, it's pretty sparse, less than a dozen, 5 in particular:

Weasel Zippers,
Drudge Report, (both for the headlines),
Conservative Review (Mark Levin),
Conservative Political Forum
and a Youtube channel, The Great War - which is an interesting historical study.

Why do I post here, and not really... nowhere else?

For 11 years, I ran one of the largest Multi-line Bulletin Boards in the country.
It is EXPENSIVE, and hardware was replaced continually, modems, drives, etc.
We didn't have popup ads back then, or ask for money - it came from my pocket.
We wrote our own software from the modem handling routines to the database search engines - all self-taught because what we did, didn't exist.
I also tried to police the system, and enlisted the help of a few trusted folks to help out, it was too much, coding, writing, moderating.
The system expanded over a handful of states, with all linked back to the main server, yeah it was fun, but work and expensive.

I can really, really appreciate the guys that keep order here, the sacrifices they are making, the commitment of time & energy, it takes to keep a system like this up and running, and moderate the flow of discussions.  Been there, done that.
So when I see some complete IDIOT stand up and proclaim the forum is BIASED, I too want to reach through the monitor and slap the fool who has invested nothing and expects everything, without the least bit of respect for the gentlemen managing the forums.
It's just so simple, to just leave if you don't like it, the cost to you is ZERO.
If you do decide to leave, let me remind you, someday, you may want to come back - don't burn your bridge, leave quietly...

The last thing, still the biggest problem with this medium as it was back in the 1980's & 90s, communicating emotions and strength of our desire or lack of, is almost impossible for 99% of the users.  Stuff like sarcasm gets taken out of context easily... grow up, the words posted here are all covered under the First Amendment - so don't let it go to your head and act like a complete jerk, 'cause you don't own it.

If you haven't noticed yet, I write what's on my heart at the moment - sometimes serious, maybe funny, but always "average" as my daughter says, according the the databases she pours over, I am very "average"... sigh!  At least she's got a excellent mother!
All animals are created equal; Some just take longer to cook.   Survival is keeping an eye on those around you...

Hi There,
Just wanted to introduce myself and thank you for the opportunity to join your community.
A little about me:
Happily married, former homeschooling mother of three (2 living, 1 in Heaven), grandmother (NaNa) of 2, pro-life, constitutional conservative who loves all things Star Trek, Dr. Who, and Florida State football (Go 'Noles!).
A long time ago I was an Admin on the FreeConservatives board and then posted shortly on the LibertyDwells board.  I think I may recognize a couple of fellow freecers and dwellers who post here now.  Hope I'll still be welcome, lol.
I have been away from forums for a while now, but lacking an avenue to have political discussion, I found myself once again looking for a place to talk politics, get information, and be around like-minded folks.
Looking forward to some great conversations!
See y'all on the threads,
Ziggy
Liberty at the expense of "security," honesty without complete truth, and passion without a walk of faith is no life of right.
