it was a good trip. Texts were flying between all of us comin from Illinois, Kentucky, and the DC area. I say area because that group gathers to a point central from up to 2 hours away... We keep a eye on us all just in case...  Kentucky got there Wednesday morning,,,, DC got there Thursday morning, we hit about noon Thursday.... set up went to Walmart, then the liqour store. Good call as the owner there told us where we could get 20lbs of ice for $1.75.   In the camper ground 20 lbs cost $7.00. A wonderful thing top know when August hits.  Camp fires going, grills going. Cornhole games all over the place. A dice kinda game we had never seen before was going, toss the rings. all kinds of music and making new friends. In a Nascar camp ground everyone just becomes life long neighbors even if you just met.   Himself was doing music, he loves it when other camps tell him to turn it up,lololol.
He was in 7th heaven being able to turn up his bluesy stuff, when some asked if we had this or that,,,he was just a grinning,lol.  Eating drinking grazin was the call of the whole time. Kentucky decided they needed to break away from the rest of us. So no problem,,,we visited, Friday night I believe it was 2 of them came up and were not so very happy,,, actually they were borderline a bit frightened.  So they did the tale of  two whom came up,asked for a light,,, then a drink,,,,then they didnt leave when the 4 of them went to the Red Barn to see live bands.... now the two were sleepin under the front of the  5-er. Oh not good and of course it went   "Elfie, but they used my real name of course,,, can you come down and help us get rid of them?''.  Holy crap yeah sure (ask the tiny one to) so I looked at sil,,,, and DC neighbor,, they said they would back me up.... HImself,,,,just looked at me like oh crap...  Off we went...... looked like a, well I dont know,,,, I was in the lead,lmao. So we get there and the 2 that came got me---us---- left straight away,,,the 1 and his cute as a button girlfriend high tailed it out to someones camper.... so I started on this guy.... he spewed a different story as to why they were there,,,, so now we know it was a load of hooey,  then the dont call the cops started flyin,,,,so I looked at DC,,, a specialized cop,,, he did the slight head bob,,,, then I went off,,,, it went for about 20 seconds then it was well if thats so,,,lets just find out from the 1 right now cuz I got the other 2 saying someting totally different.... found the one,,,this dude was on my heels,,, dc was behind him, himself was behind him and sil was was in the middle of us all,lol. 1 said hell no,,,, get em out.... I turned on the guy and went into 10' tall and bullet proof. By this time I was cold,,,, they were gone,,, Himself was grinnin ear to ear, DC was "ya did good" and my sil was in shock,lmao.... back we went to our place.... now why they always pick us tiny people to clean up their mess I dont know.... back to fun tunes, laughing really hard and having fun.
We met the guy that actually was the one whose antics stopped the cooler races down the center hill years back....  He wasnt dead. Rather alive, but the tale was wayyyy to funny. I hadn't laughed that hard in a long time.... ya see they greased the main road with veg oil... got in coolers and raced down em....or the big hills,,, he took out a couple of tents... but it really didnt get stupid til he got in the grocery cart and  hit a golf cart.... just broke his foot,,,golf cart peeps did not get hurt... but thats what stopped the cooler racing... hey I didn't never say everyone had a brightness button down there, alot of people decide to leave that at home.....
We did the qualifying thing and both races. the best was going down to the pits for what they called a tour... National guard kept everyone from walking on the track itself,,,we could get right to the edge... stood along pit wall and got to watch em deal with the cup cars... saw Jack Rousch, he is a spit fire of a little guy..... saw the Rutledge guy from Speed channel... got to seem a digger cam up c.lose and almost in my hand and got to see the guy set it and adjust it.... now that was cool..... Team owners the whole bit.   The ride home was good, no drama cept a car fire on N I-65... other then that,,, maybe a dead deer,,, I read 90% of the way.... The kids had a great time.... We had a great time..... well cept for evicting the homeless people.... but now its part of the tell for years to come.....   I got all kinds of new beads,lmao.... after I got 10' tall and bullet proof,,,,they were just handed to me... I guess that means I did good.lmao... ok, gotta start laundry now...camper is cleared out,,, time to get that done...... See ya in a bit!
