We now have a 1/2" of snow.   8)

rain today for us and almost to hit 70..... they are talking snow by thursday....I wonder if it really will.

We had several inches the last couple of days, but luckily it rained last night, but they are calling for it to plummet to 16 degrees with snow.
That is the worst thing to happen, it will be here for more than a week, making the road solid ice.
St is gonna be stressing. :P

That sucks, last time we went below zero, it stayed that way for three weeks, and all my neighbors were without power for 6 weeks.
A major transmission line was so laden with ice, it literally collapsed across the highway.
Small cars had to detour 20 miles to get around it, but us hicks with 4X4s just drove over the dead lines.
That was back in the early 90s, I think you may remember that freeze.

Yes for us it was also an ice freezing rain not snow.  First one I could remember in about 50 years.

Yes, thats what brought the power lines down, freezing rain.
I saw the icicles hanging off the lines, some were more than 20' long, weighing thousands of lbs.
I must say though, they did engineer them quite well, they held up for quite awhile before the towers simply buckled under too much weight.

We have pick-up 3" more of snow.  Just cleaned both walk ways and deck.   Our neighbor dog helped me by running all around me and packing the snow down.  LOL  He is a good old dog 13 years old. Just loves going for a walk with me.  I do 5 miles and he does about 20 all around me.

We do also but we are gone so much it would not be good for a big dog in a 30' 5th wheel.   This dog has adopted us and stays with us in the winter.  The neighbors go South for the winter for about 3 months.  So he stays with us through the winter months.  He is just one big old lovable dog. (friend)

LOL he loves the snow as old as he is he was rolling around in it for about 1 hr today just having a great time.  Wow it's about 1700hrs and it is 23º out side now.  He is a farm dog lol he will not come into the house at all even if you keep calling him.  He will stop right at the door.  But he will go into the garage/work shop so we have a area set up just for him.  We keep it at 55º to 60º for him and the truck.

We now have 1.5' of snow  ;D  there callling it a rare blizzard for our state of Washington.  We have drifting snow as high as 3' around us   8) The 35mph winds have stopped.  ;D  0730 and it is 18º 17º out.
