The upside is the days are bright and sunny.

We had the wood-stove going for days.  Decided to let it go out last night.   It is a good opportunity to clean it out before the next cold wave hits.   Stay warm and dry Elfie!  Toy

Dontcha hate when you have to let it go down to clean the ash,lol... I do.  I stay warm nooooo worries. I usually keep mine on when the day time temp hits 42 or below constant.

Solar.....Weather along the West Coast from Seattle and Portland to Northern California will be stormy.

Are you getting hit.  Washington and Oregon could get 3" to 4" of rain.

We now have snow around 3000'  and it looks like more tonight for the Blue Mountains and the Cascade Mountains.

I saw the satellite pic the last few days and thought it looked pretty serious, even thought it was coming here, but the local forecasters seem to think it will miss us, but I don't.

Though were ready for snow, I don't want it yet.

Right now Surface Temp is 36ºF at 3000'  and there calling for snow tonight in the passes.  We will get down to 46º is all and winds at 15 mph.  with a light Shower off and on.  It will keep the sidewalks wet is bout all.  Blow all the leaves out of the yard today, should be the last time I hope.  Unless we get a 60 mph wind from the NW then I get all the apple tree leave in my yard.   Cut the grass for the last time this year.  (I hope lol)    Will check the 5th wheel and make sure the 12 volt battery are all charged up for the winter.  It is well protected for the Winter in the back of the hanger, but not from the cold.

I hope you got everything covered and buttoned up tight, looks like you are getting our weather from the last 24 hrs.
We probably got 3+" and lots of wind, warm though, right around 48 deg.
But it was the heavy downpours that really overrun the downspouts and ditches, as well as cut new trenches in the road.

Just looked at the satellite photo, looks like it's on you as I type.

It don't look good LOL but it's 32º out now and calling for 45º day time.  We have fog from the river.  There calling for snow all around us in the mountain at 3000' and above also up North.  IF we get that much rain, we will have to use the box grader on the driveway.   It is about a mile long and all up hill.  We are all set for a big snow but don't see it until mid Dec.  We are good for 3 month or longer needed.

Woke up at 5:30 to serious wind and 73 degree weather, but looking at the satellite, we are about to get nailed with a 50 degree drop in temp, all at once. :scared:

We are coming up to 50º + today. We are getting very little of all the rain thats coming through Washington and Oregon.

Were 40 degrees colder than this time yesterday and clearing skies for the day, but those last few days of heavy rain gave us about 13" of rain.
I just might go down and do a little mining.,

Looked like your area had problems with run off.  Nice to know it all goes down hill.   I had two maintenance men back about 30 years ago that would take off after a big rain.  On the same day and go mining with a portable vacuum dredge they made.  They did not make much but they were always looking for that one big hit.
