Hit 102º again today, looks like the next 5 days will be between 102º and 105º.
I think our summer is on us.  Not bad for being just off the river.

Yeah, the Capitol hit 106 today and 110 later this week.
Thank God I'm down not in that shit.
I hit 95 today here, with no humidity registering, but it was 165 in the Sun, anyway that's what my digital said, it won't go any higher, but this high up, were above the smog where the air is thinner and you can cook an egg on the cement faster than you can a frying pan.

We have had lighting and thunder for the last 3 hrs now.  With a sprinkling of rain off and on just enuff to keep the dust down.  The high for today will be 91º.

Our cat is sitting right next to the computer  looking at the computer and then at me like can you shut the thunder off with that thing.

Yeah, I was looking at the cell that came all the way up from Mexico that went over you.
I wondered if it was rain. Were having a beautiful day, after a week of upper 90s, this is a welcome break, the sea breeze finally made it up here and now it's nice and cool.

Where's that snow being forecast?  Heck, it's supposed to get up to 80 deg. here in Camp.SC today and for most of this week.  Cool spell on the way for 1 week from today with forecast temp 0f 37 L to 60's H.  That's not so cold though.  We had 7 snows here 3 years ago, two of them were nice 'uns.

LOL Solar and I don't live in the flatlands.  In Washington state we have 15 Mountain Passes, the ones around 3000' and above are starting to get snow.  For me to go some place over one hrs drive, I must cross two mountain passes.  I am only at 500' above sea level but everything is up.  LOL   Within 25mile of my house I am at 2000'.

Woooo-eeeeee!  I'll bet y'all have a time getting a cake baked :ohmy:at those altitudes.  Whew! That kind of environment separates the men from the boys, doesn't it?

I'd rather be there than alot of places I've heard about.  For instance, the husband has been all over the world while he was in the AF.  Spent 20 years with them.  I guess the worst place he talked about was 'Nam because it was so hot, humid and when the rainy season came, it rained day and night for months.  There would be the other extreme too, like in Jordan, where it was hot-a different kind of hot than around here and windy.  England was dreary.  Washington state was rainy and foggy alot.

It is cold here for about 2 mths.  What I mean by that is we usually don't get that much snow but we do get alot of ice.  Year before last was an exception.  It even snowed Christmas Day that year.  I had not seen but one snow on Christmas Day the entirety of my life.  It didn't get bad enough to keep everybody home so all the kids got here and we had a blast.  It gets cold around January and stays that way until late Feb. before it levels off to where you can stand it.  We live at the foot of the Appalch. Mts. and get all of the "fronts" just as they start over the mountains.

A different subject here but we had an alert today of the sighting of a black panther in our area and folks were calling FOX news saying that they had seen it.  Black bears and panthers have been seen in the area of a church we attended for awhile, Glassy Mtn. Baptist.  We were sitting in church one night and my brother-in-law and sis were visiting us there and i heard Jerry say, "did I just see a bear in the parking lot?" while pointing his finger outside to the parking lot.  Animal control came out and caught it the next day.  The preacher's wife had already told me that they had bears roaming around there and that they had black panthers there too.

I love all climates, but mostly I love the change of seasons, I couldn't live where it's winter 9 months a year, or summer year round, nope, I love the slow change that we get out west, though we did just go from summer to winter in one day, but we will be back to fall for the next month before it gets really cold.

Been around the world, but the worst climate I've yet to experience was in Korea on the border with the north, summer was hot, oppressive and down right miserable, 100% humidity and 90 deg.
But what shocked me the most one day we were outside on a hot miserable day, and within a few minutes, the weather changed to full blown winter and never looked back.
But the most shocking part was the length of winter, seemed like it would never end and as quick as in began, it suddenly ended, the next few days were amazing, everything was in bloom, didn't last long, and in no time, it was miserably hot again.

Nope, I honestly believe as all the people in my area, we live in Gods country, ruled politically by the Devil.

Talk about changes in the forecast!  After temps near 80deg. all week, we now have a chance of snow as early as monday.  It was first forecast for lows in the mid 30's and highs near 60deg.  Now it could snow.  I guess we'll check out all of the winter equipment today because all it has to do around here is threaten snow or ice and our town goes into full frantic buying of loaf bread and milk.

It great living this far out of town. (68 miles)   We generally have 3 month of food starting this time a year on hand.  But we can get in town about once a month if need.
