We finally got Winter, after a three month long Spring in the middle of Winter.
Though, it looks like we may be coming near the end of it for awhile after this next one.

Man, we were 80+ degrees today, the valley was in the mid 90s.
I want spring back.

We had snow last week and a fire in the wood stove the day before yesterday, today I'm hot and sweaty with high humidity.
Are you getting this crap as well?

We had 80º also today.  I am cutting the grass every week now.  Calling for 85º on Sat. so we are going to Sister Oregon so the wife can do some quilt shopping for the day.  It is about a 4hr drive so it will be a nice day trip for us.   The next 3 days is calling for in the 80º +.  Nights are hitting 50º +.   The heater has been off for a month now, but today I turned the A/C on for the wife, something about hot flashes for the 25 years.  She don't like the house over 68º.  I like at around 80 and 90º so I stay outside a lot.  lol   I put on a sweatshirt when I go into the house.

We don't get the high humidity like you do, even living on the river.  Only about 3 hr in the A.M. from about 4 to 6 when the sun comes up over the top of the blue mountains it gone in about 30 to 45 min.

Its usually dry where we are, but with all the rain and snow last week, everything is still saturated, and the heat turned it into steam almost.
This has been another one of those weird springs, about the 3rd time in the last 20 years.
I expect it to get cold again next week, thats more normal for this time of year.
More than anything, I'm hoping for a strong north wind to dry us out, then the nights will be back in the 30s.
Time to pull the flannel sheets of the bed...

Wow!!  about 9:30 P.M. my time and were getting  T-Storm big time.  It is lighting up all of Oregon as far as I can see all around.  It has been going on now for about 45 min.   Went from 90º down to 60 in about 3 hrs.  lol  We have rain with this light show also.....  The dry farmers will love it up on the high ridge at about 1500 ft. above us.

No thanks, we'll hit the mid 70s all week I hope, anything over 80 is just too damn hot.
Of course ST would argue that point, seeing how the woman takes hot showers in the summer. :scared:

The good wife does the same thing, if it's not steaming it not a shower.   And this from a woman who has had hot flashes going on 30 + years and keep the house at 67º  :glare:

Killed 3 rattlesnake this A.M. in less the two hrs.  One was 10 years old I would say.   The like that warm sidewalk first thing in the A.M.

I've been lucky, only had to kill one in the last 20 years, but my neighbor on the other side of the mtn. has killed more than 30 in the last 5 yrs.
He's lost three Irish Wolf hounds to bites because they slept in the garage and the snakes would lay with the dogs for warmth.
All the dogs were quite old and the bites were always up near the head area, early in the night.

He finally called out an exterminator and found at least 15 down by the pond.

We have what we call Bow snakes (non-poisonous snakes) also they will kill rattlesnake when they can.  But being an old farm boy, the only good snake is a dead snake.
