Well lol I found you can not spin out in the snow in 4 wheel drive.  Had to drop down into 2 wheel drive, and one wheel drive was even better.

26º out now and it has started raining.   There calling for a 90% chance of more snow tonight.  Well I got my sidewalks all clean off.  There was 2 to 3" of snow that turned into ice on top of the snow, so I have to get it off just to get the snow off the sidewalk.

Hmmm at my age I think I should get a snow blower.  But I can not see putting out 300$ to 400$ and use it 2 to 4 times a year.   I know I know I am cheap!  ;D

For you Solar...

"The Northwest will remain stormy into next week on the heels of a historic snow and ice storm this past Wednesday and Thursday. In addition, the next two storms slamming into the West Coast will impact areas farther south into California, along with the central and southern Rockies".
LOL, like a kid in the snow...
Isn't it a kick in the ass? :)) :)) :))
The deeper the snow, the more fun it is...

I saw the forecast, and I'm not looking forward to it.
As soon as it lets up, were getting satellite Internet, I've had it with Verizon.

Correct, also there is a bit of lag time when clicking on sites, it takes a few seconds to get a response, but when you do, its lightning quick.
We are included under some Gov program where we get its best package (17 gigs a month) at $39.00 a month, its cheapest price.
Something called the American recovery act or some silly shit, all because we have poor access, many rural areas are covered, you may be as well.

We were willing to pay the $90.00 a month for the package, but then when she saw that we were neighbors, she said we should get the package she has, then explained we've been paying for it all along through taxes....

That about what we got. it about gone now.   All but the big drifts of snow that were about 2 + ft. around the house and trees.   Calling for more in the Mountain but we are only at about 800'.  Low tonight 37º with rain off and on.  Then back to 23 and 25º at night for the rest of the week, with only 10% chance of ran.  We need 50 % + before we get snow.  I must say the quad is fun on the air strip.  lol

Well the last of the snow is all gone, so that is nice.  Was 65º in the sun today, so did about a two hr ride on the quad.

Calling for rain the next 2 days then sun for 5 days. We may get rain on Thr/day as it calling for 50% chance of rain.

There pruning all the apple tree and tilling between the rows of grapes.  There also pulling up old grape vines and will be putting in new plants sometime next month.  This is an on going project for the grape grower around my area.   I am thinking of getting 3 or 4 plants as my wife love grapes.   Don't know much about them, but I have time on my hands to learn.  I have a retired neighbor next door (about 1 mile away) that has 50 acres of grapes as a hobby so I will check with him.

Vineyards are huge in my area, everyone thought it would be a money maker selling to the distillers.
Most have gone broke  since they couldn't afford the help anymore.
I think table grapes may do better on the mkt.
I may plant some myself since we both love grapes, but I worry about the dogs eating them since they're poisonous to them.

Most the people around me do their own bottling of wine.  I have a weiner about 7 miles away that has a 6 acres weiner under ground.  Then there are 2 weiner with in 50 miles of me that will do your grapes for you, under your own label.

WE have been in Spring weather for more than a month now, everything is in bloom.
Today we were in the 70s and the buzzards are back.
I point that out because it almost always signals 6 weeks till Spring, according to local weather folk lore.

We had about a ½" of snow on Monday but it was gone by around 3PM.  We have been in the 40º and 50º range day time and 25º to 40º at night.   The trees and not even starting to bud out yet.  But everyone is starting to disk up the circles that were not disked up last Fall.  Most all the farm equipment is set to go.  The water has not been turned on to the circles yet, as it getting down yet a night.  I see their working on some pumping stations so it will not be long.  Each circle is between 640 to 780 acres each.

We did have one day of snow last week, but by noon it was all gone and 60 in the shade.
If we don't get rain soon, the flat landers will be in a panic thanks to the news media running with it.
We see a drought every 10 years roughly, its normal, but the news can never let a potential crisis go to waste, they'll milk it till the lib mayor says he can fix it through higher taxes.
