We just hit the 4" mark on the rain gauge.
I did not expect this much, and now they're calling for snow?

Yeah, including my road down to my creek. I had just spent three weeks repairing it from the heavy winter rains and this hit. I had a 6" deep trench running all the way down the mountain to the creek, (about a half mile) no doubt two dump truck loads of rock and dirt.
But yeah, this was unexpected, especially the Ororville Dam Watershed area.

A melted foot?
Nah, it rained all night at my place, but it was within a mile. Snowed heavy at the ski runs that were already planning om July skiing.
If this keeps up, we'll have a head start on a new glacier forming in Ca.

Well this sucked. We've been in rain all month temps in the low 40s some sun breaks, but June 1, we finally breakout of this winter pattern and go straight into the 80s. :scared:
With all this moisture on the ground it'll feel like Augusta in a heatwave after a thunderstorm. We should have already entered fire season, where we have to keep an eye on flatlanders and city folk doing what they do, getting stupid.
But this year? Memorial day will have thunderstorms, so most will stay in the Bay area and not be lighting fires. So there is an upside to all of this, but it will seem like a short summer.

Heat or woodstove all last month, rain nearly everyday, until today, June 1st, summer hit and all that rain left behind makes it feel like Georgia in August.

Today in my backyard at 12:00 noon it was 115º and my front yard was 100º.  Summer is just around the bend.

I wouldn't mind 100, as long as the humidity is around 3% like I usually get, but this 80% is killing me.
I'd do road work, but it's still muddy as hell. I have water coming out of the mountain all over the place, like more than 100 springs just running a couple of gallons per minute.
Drought my ass!

By the way, I got a call labeled "Code Red" on caller ID, almost ignored it, but before I could hang up, the voice said, that PG&E would be cutting power to the area due to dry North winds.
Of course it doesn't effect me being on solar, it's just more evidence that they haven't been maintaining the lines in cutting back trees.
