Rain for us today and Partly Cloudy the rest of the week.  We will be in the 60 to mid 45º after today.  It's calling for rain off and on at nights but I see that happening at only 30% or less.

Everyone is out tilling as with all the snow coming late their a month behind.  Some are tilling around the clock.
We were supposed to get at least an inch of rain today. That ain't gonna happen.

We are all over the place, rain today and Monday off and on.  Then it goes for sun to partly sun the rest of the week.   I can live with that.

Yeah, I love it too, but it's that subtropical shit, all humid, bugs love it, so they're coming out way too early.
I want my cold dry weather back.

Keep reading, I have a funny story to tell.

Yesterday was possibly the last day I'll run the heat for the year, and yes, it was cold, but today?
I wanted the air on and Toy didn't, so we compromised, I'm running the whole house fan. Granted, it's only 76 Deg outside, it's all that damn rain we had that's steaming up the air, feels like upper 80s to low 90s outside.
I already miss my dry cold.

On a side note, I took my new neighbor on an excursion of the mountains in my neighborhood in my Razer side by side. There are still ponds in much of the back country trails, I hit one while flying over a bump in the road at about 50, hit it on the other side, about 2' deep, problem was, I forgot to put the drain plugs back in, we both had a fountain of water in our face, soaked to the bone. The roads have all but been destroyed from all the snow and runoff this year.
Headed over the mountain and down to Rock Creek, about a 3 mile drive down the mountain on a treacherous road, down to the creek which has a trail barely capable of handling my RZR Trail unit, (58" wide) so we stopped about 300' from the bridge because it's just too damn dangerous to traverse, and then there's the bridge which has a switch back, so you literally have to get out and pick up the ass end and set it straight with the bridge, just barely wide enough to maneuver, (62" wide bridge) and once you cross, there's a a serious boulder in the path that requires even the most skilled operator to pass, as you must get sideways on it to cross, then it's 5 miles of nice trail to Bald mountain.

The reason for all the detail is, once we stopped to ponder going further, we spotted a brand new Toyota Tacoma down the ravine on the other side of the bridge, rolled about 3 times.
This means the IDIOT had to drive that entire distance, with all the warning signs that things were getting worse mile after mile, but he persevered and managed to cross that damn bridge, only to get rolled by the boulder on the other side.

I know this because I talked to my friend that lives at the trail head, she said it was about two weeks ago, and described it just as I said.
She said he beat the Hell out of the truck even before making it to the bridge, but was too afraid to attempt backing up the 3 miles he'd just driven. Did I mention, this is nothing more than a hiking/horse trail?

She had talked to him because he had to hike the 3000' grade on foot and was lost, she said he'd already damaged the outside of the truck, that he figured a bit more wouldn't make any difference, so he went on and didn't quite make it past the boulder.

Here's my best guess, because it happens every year on the Rubicon or as in this case, local trails. City kid from the Bay Area buys new 4x4, thinks he's indestructible, decides to show us locals what a man he is, and goes about the business of destroying his brand new 4x4, on a trail that requires teams of experienced men to traverse, just pull up Rubicon Crossing videos of idiots on youtube, quite a hoot.
I say teams, because you will always need a couple of extra winches pulling you out of a bind so you don't roll 5000' to the Rubicon river below.

Here's a 3 min video of the Rubicon and why it takes team work to cross. I love it when the libs come up, thinking their shit don't stink.

Today we will hit 77º.  For the next 9 day I don't see anything under 80+º.   Next week my neighbor will be doing his first cutting for hay.   Spring has been good, Summer starts on Friday, June 21 and will last until September 23.

Full blown beautiful Spring! Mid 70s, thunderheads over the crest, light breeze, flutterbys in a sexual frenzy.
Getting a lot of shit done before the heat hits in a month. I love this time of year.

We have been in the mid 80's for the last three day.  At 3 PM the last two day my temp has hit 100º in the front yard but not the back yard, only 90º.  I see mid 80's to 90+ for the next 4 days.  Night time low 46 to 59º.

Uggghhh!!! Too soon! I'd be dying. I need the slow transition, summer will come soon enough, and with all the rain and snow we got, high temps would cause stifling humidity.
It's only 72 outside and the wife asked if I wanted the air on. She knows me too well.

We are calling for rain for the next 4 or 5 days.  Temps will be dropping down to mid 70 or less for the next 10 days.   It will make it nice for working in the yard.
