Looks like you have a few more days this week to bring snow.
Same here, but they're saying Southerly breezes may make it rain instead. But we've seen their forecasts fail miserably on a regular basis.

One thing good about this snow, it will help the dry farmer up on the high ridge.

So far between 6 to 8" of the finest powder I've ever seen, looks like flour.
All night, all I saw was the tiniest of flakes, more like frozen fog of mini snowflakes. Like billions of tiny dead libs, powdered.

Wound up with about 10 inches, more just started for the night, so I guess it isn't over yet.
Had little melt, and we're supposed to hit the teens tonight, so this stuff will be around all week. Yuck.

Walks, or anyone, this is the forecast for my area this weekend, possibly 3' of snow.
If you click this link and check the box on the right for "NWS Forecasts", then click on your home, if there's a storm coming, it gives you a specific forecast.

...Hazardous Winter Travel This Weekend...
.Two cold storms are forecast to bring significant snowfall to
the northern California mountains and higher foothills over the
weekend, bringing periods of dangerous winter driving conditions.
The first will bring light mountain snow as early as tonight and
Friday. Moderate snowfall is expected Friday night through early
Saturday. A second and stronger storm will bring heavy snowfall
Saturday afternoon through Sunday night. Travel during that time
period is not recommended, with likely chain controls, long
delays, and possible road closures. Windy conditions will combine
with heavy snow to bring white-out conditions at times.
These cold systems will bring low snow levels with many foothill
locations seeing snowfall again throughout the weekend.
Significant snowfall is expected above 2500 feet, with light
accumulations down to 1000 feet. Downed trees and power outages
are possible. Lingering showers will continue into Monday morning
over the Sierra Cascade range. If you must travel into the
mountains of northern California over the weekend, prepare for
winter travel conditions, have a winter safety kit and check the
latest road and weather reports before departure.
...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM FRIDAY TO 4 AM PST
MONDAY ABOVE 2500 FEET...

and causing power outages. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 16
inches, with localized amounts 2 to 3 feet, are expected.

* WHEN...4 PM Friday to 4 AM Monday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for white-out conditions at
times.

roads and limited visibilities. Travel is not recommended while
the warning is in effect. If you must travel, keep an extra
flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an
emergency. The latest road conditions for the state you are

Yesterday there was about a foot of snow everywhere at 24 degrees. Today, raining like crazy from a Equatorial system hitting Ca.
All that snow is melting fast, all the way to the summit, however it's still a slush until you hit 7000' where it turns into rain.
Point is, the snow pack will act like a sponge and soak up major amounts of moisture, refreeze, then the snow will return leaving essentially the making of a mini glacier effect that will slowly melt into late summer. And they say we're still in a drought and blame global warming.

Anyway, expect to see headlines of valley flooding in Ca over the next couple of days, should be entertaining if anything, as the media attempts to spin a natural occurrence into a man made catastrophe.

I will say we have about 1' of snow in all.  But with the wind blowing at around 30 and 40 mph we some areas with 1" of snow and other areas around the house with 3' snow drifts.  And all the snow is blown off the roof on to the deck and sidewalks, so it give me something to clean each day so it don't build up.  Now the boy came over yesterday and plowed the big snowdrifts from in front of the garage and all the way down the driveway.  They did the same thing for the 2 neighbors that are down the road from me.  So they did about 5 miles in all.  It has gone from 31 to 37º in the last 1.5hrs.

Looks like you'll get more snow as we will also in the next couple of days, around 2 feet. I wish plowing worked here, but our roads are so steep that it really doesn't matter because most here are prepared for a week of being snowed in, and if you don't have a 4X4 you're screwed, plowed or not.

Wednesday it was snowing like crazy around 23 degrees, Thursday, yesterday we jumped to 53 degrees steady temp night and day, rained and washed all the snow into the creeks and rivers out to the Pacific ocean.
This morning I wake at 3:00 am to heavy snow and no internet because the satellite dish was loaded up. God I love this weather.
