We do not expect to get above freezing until Sunday. Fortunately, no precipitation.

I don't know about you Solar, but this has been the mildest January to date
in about the last 10 years.  Last year I was 2' deep in snow for this month.

Yeah, I was just talking to my neighbors about that, that historically we should be shoveling snow, instead of how warm it's been, in the low 60s today, but early March may be an entirely different story if this Equatorial moisture gets cut off and the pattern shifts out of the north. :scared:

Wow 0730 and it 50º outside.  I had 2' of snow last year by this time.
This keeps up I will have to bring out my summer clothes.

Well, we're still freezing every morning, but they're calling for 67 Deg. today and much of the next week.
I think they mixed up our forecasts, we generally never rise beyond 30 Deg from the overnight low.
This should be an interesting week.

Though their nighttime predictions are 10 deg on the warm side, the surrounding area is definitely hitting the mid to upper 60s.
If this keeps up, we'll be seeing Spring early, but, like always happens, we have heavy snows in March and a delayed Spring in the end.
About 25 years back this very thing happened, false Spring, then Winter didn't end till late May and we went straight into Summer, from freezing temps and snow to highs in the 90s, and humid as shit.

I sure hope that's not what we're seeing again, I love Spring in the Sierra. :scared:

Today 45˚63˚
Mon 48˚64˚
Tue 44˚65˚
Wed 43˚64˚
Thu 43˚64˚
Fri 45˚68˚
Sat 45˚67˚
Sun 44˚66˚

Extended forecast for Wed Feb 2nd has us hitting 72 deg.

After a few weeks of early Spring, we just plummeted to 21 last night with light snow all day and more coming and temps in the teens.
Quite a shock to the Valley as well, with early fruit and almond crop blooms being frozen off, expect to see higher prices come harvest time.

We hit 26º last night and it 31º out side right now.  No snow but some very fine ice rain for about 6hrs. with winds at 45mph with gusting winds at 50 to 65mph for over 10hrs that I know of.   Their calling for 20º tonight.  We will be in the low 40's day time most of the week, along with 24 to 25º night time.  Snow showers between 3000' and 4000' but I see no snow coming for the next 10 days for us.

Damn, I screwed up and posted it in the wrong thread.

Yeah, it's snowing and blowing, currently 29 and fine snowflakes, lows in the teens. Should be clear tomorrow around the low 30s and snow returning Wed and thurs.
Thing about frigid Alaska air is, it's too cold to support moisture, so, light snow around 6+ inches is all.

Well out weatherman screw up last night.  It did not call for snow all day long.
Then I check it after dinner, it said it was going to snow for 4 hrs.     So in
under 2 hrs it went for no snow to snow.  It was a very fine light snow and we
got almost a ½" of snow is all.  The sun is out full right now and it's only 28º out
right now.  Sun early followed by cloudy skies this afternoon starting about
2 P.M.
