Well it was 101º for us on Friday and 115º in the sun.  My sidewalk at 4:30 PM was 124º.  Look at 105 to 107º for the next 4 days.   The water skier and tubes are loving it down on the river.  There is very little wind, so the river is smooth as glass down below.

We got over 2.5" of rain this morning in about 2 hours. It's still raining, and our creek is almost over it's banks out back. Another 1-2" expected this PM.

Then tonight and tomorrow it starts all over again.

Uggghhh... I'll take the heat over summer rain and humidity any day.
Heat, coupled with humidity is just too much of a strain on my heart.

I don't like humidity either. 'Course, being raised in Tucson I got used to low humidities. My dislike of humidity pales by comparison to my wife's HATRED of humidity. If it gets over 75 with some humidity, she begins to crawl the walls with discomfort.

So much for Global Warming.  It was predicted that we here in the SC mountains would have cooler than normal temps for the rest of the week.  The weather that we most closely reflect is that of Columbus NC, approx. 10 miles north of us here in Campobello, SC.  I walked out on the back deck this morning at 5:30 and the temp on our wall thermometer read 52 deg.  Now, that is cold for July around here.  We expect highs at 82 deg.   Things that make you wanna' go hmmm!

Maybe I can stand getting out there in the yard and doing some deadheading of my knock out roses (all 8 bushes).

I'm envious. We've been getting Equatorial via flow from the Equator and packed full of moisture. The days have been in the mid 90s with 95% humidity, low this morning was 66, when we should be in the upper 40s overnight.

I hate humidity! :glare:

We are running at 100 to 105º daytime with 23% humidity.  At night 65 to 70º with 65% humidity that starts setting in about 11 P.M.   As we have the river just down below us.

Looks like you are about to get that same crap we're getting, except now it's feeding out of Hawaii, so it should be a tad cooler.

Looks like most of the U.S. will be starting Fall weather soon.  For the most part my area will be in the 80's and 90º.

High temperatures may struggle to get out of the 40s and 50s in the Northern and Central Plains, as well as in parts of the Midwest by late week.
