ST just mowed the lawn a few days ago and it's already outgrown that and needs serious whacking, but with rain on it's way for the next week,. that won't happen.
We're getting tropical equatorial weather at the moment, so hot and muggy, I couldn't sleep. Right now, I'm sitting in front of an open window, with nothing on, it''s that warm out...

Drought, my ass!

Thank God for the Blue Mountains.     :tounge:

When I first started on this forum I liked to read the different posts from folks in other states.  At the time I wasn't concerned about weather patterns that much.  I just thought that everything would pretty much be predictable-the way it's always been around here.  Lately, I can't describe what we  are going through.

We'll be in the seventies by Sat. but that's after the snow and freezing rain expected for Friday.  This up and down stuff has been described as many things, most notably the polar vortex.   I've got my own name for it, BI-POLAR

Yep, here in Ohio, we're getting that crazy weather too -- ups and downs -- except we have to make do without the ups.

January ended up 6.5 degrees below normal. (That's a LOT over a month's time, kids.)

February came in 7 degrees below normal.

So far, March is 13 degrees below normal.

As I type this, my kitchen pipes just thawed out because we've hit a blistering 25 degrees this afternoon.

I am actively looking for available real estate in Texas.

This is some of the weirdest weather in a long time.
We've been in the 70s since last month with some rain breaks, but this weekend we'll be in the 80s.
We should be in the upper 50s for normal, instead, we're in early summer weather.
If we don't get back to winter soon, summer is going to be a real bitch.

Here's a graphic that tells a story! I'm not sure why, but the article I took it from claims that it shows the coldest Oct.-March period since 1912. If I read it correctly, it's saying this is the coldest since 1899. Either way...

I believe it to be correct for the majority of the nation, it's the West Coast that's a bit of an anomaly this year.

Here's another graphic from the same article I linked before. This one shows how most of CA and other areas were indeed warmer than normal, but most of the nation was cold.

God I wish I could can this weather. Yesterday was 78 with 16% humidity, nice breeze.
Warmer today though, because I'm sitting here with the window open at 5:00 am.

Poor baby. Monster heat wave here today -- it hit 51. For a moment I actually thought about removing my jacket! But that's all right, it won't last. Tomorrow's forecast: 30.

Hey, don't blame, you're the guys that let a groundhog predict your weather.

But I'll just stay out here and suffer through this beautiful weather.
But it won't last, I'd bet money we still have more snow coming.

So March 20 will be the first day of Spring.   :woot:
I fertilized my lawn this last Sunday and turned on the water for the yard.   I should be cutting grass in about a week.

The good wife just told me yesterday she will need to turn on the AC.   It is 65º outside, 70 to 75º in the sun.

I will need to move her temperature gauge into the shade for about two months.       :cursing:  Hot flashes!!!
