Possible. Looks like you're getting possible Cold showers

We been getting some light showers off and on today.  Calling for 60 to 70% over the next 3 days, so we will be getting some good rain.  Low 60º day time and mid 40's night time. No snow at 3000 ft. as of yet just a lot of rain.  It's funny driver 20 miles one way or the other and the rain is heavy but around us it is very light.

We're on the edge of the stuff you're getting. And I hope it stays that way, Toy is already asking when I plan on building a fire, when I said not till Nov 1, I thought she would die.

Was checking out next weeks computer forecast for my area and noticed you are in the path as well.
It's a nasty cold one currently approaching Alaska, these kind of fronts are generally hat bring us snow. Check out the satellite pic and you'll see it, it looks like Winter has come a knockin.

.EXTENDED DISCUSSION (TUESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY)

CONFIDENCE IS INCREASING IN THE EXTENDED PERIOD FORECAST, WITH A
LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM EXPECTED TO IMPACT THE REGION LATE TUESDAY
INTO EARLY THURSDAY. THIS SYSTEM WILL TRACK ALMOST DUE SOUTH FROM
THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST OVER CALIFORNIA MIDWEEK.
WHILE THE SYSTEM
DOESNT HAVE MUCH MOISTURE, IT SHOULD BRING ENOUGH FORCING TO
GENERATE SOME SHOWERS ACROSS NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. THESE SHOWERS
SHOULD GENERALLY FAVOR THE SIERRA, BUT THERE SHOULD BE AT LEAST A
POSSIBILITY OF SOME SHOWERS REACHING THE VALLEY FLOOR AS WELL.
WITH THE COLD NATURE OF THIS SYSTEM, WE COULD SEE SNOW LEVELS DROP
DOWN TO SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 4500-6000 FT WITH A FEW INCHES OF
ACCUMULATION POSSIBLE. DRIER WEATHER WILL RETURN LATE NEXT WEEK.

I don't see rain for the next week at all in our area.  We are at 1200' and the river just below is at 700'.    Right now it is call for 0% Chance of rain up to Oct 14 but like always that can change.  Look like it is going right around us again.  Day time temps calling for in the high 60º to 70º night time low about 37º to 40º.  I will be checking the Blue Mountains for snow as the week goes on, there about 80 miles across the valley in Oregon from us.  We can see miles of it from our back deck.

Just got new tires for the truck put on, will not put the snow tires on until November one.   I can't believe it, I have been getting 90.000 miles on my last two sets of tires on the Dodge 2500

There's very little moisture content, it's the damn cold air it's bringing, I'm not looking forward to, that means firing up the wood stove for the next 6 months. YUCK!

I too just got new tires, a bit taller and excellent for snow, though since I'm usually in 4 wheel drive, I got 1500 miles out of my first set, and Les Shwab told me that was normal for our area.
Ten ply sure are expensive. :scared:

  We are calling for 70º + in the sun for the next ten days.  Got my back deck all power washed Monday of this week and it all painted now.  With the sun coming up over the river it's getting up to 80º yet on the deck.  That bounce off the river sure helps this time a year.   Nights are down to the mid 30º + sometimes.  So the leaves are starting to turn and fall.  May have three more weeks of cutting the grass yet.  I am down to once a week now instead of three time a week.

We have had perfect weather for the last few weeks, upper 70s in the shade, low 40s at night.
This weekend will cool a bit, but the high pressure is still in place, funneling cold air up north and down through the Midwest.
It doesn't get any better than this, wish I could can it, and the sad part, in two weeks, we'll be in winter weather.

  We have almost the same gong on.  70º day time and 80º in the sun.  Night time mid 35+º  It's 90º on the deck from about 0900 to about 1200.  I can get a sun tan.  :tounge:   But then I can get a sun tan in the middle of winter also. :sneaky:  Starting next Monday it starts cooling down into the 50's and 60's daytime.  Night time all over the map from 35º  down to 30º.  I have roses coming out all over the place yet.

Well it is 0800 and 27º out with winds @ 4 mph form the SSW.   The sun is just coming up over the Blue Mountains and we should hit 60º today.   Looks like the cold front is moving out and to the East for a day or two.     With the winds at 20 to 30 mph the last two days half the leave are off the trees now.   Need about two more nights of 24º and a good 30 wind for a day and the leaves should be all down.   Had or first freeze warning for the area list night for our area.   Let The Dude (cat) out on the deck for my AM coffee and she got about 10 feet and was back at the door, don't think she like her feet getting cold
