We also had a big fire in Washington also about 50 miles a the crow flies from us.  So add that to Oregon and you have smoky overcast all around.   I see the wind will be coming out of the South some so that should help you in a day or so.
It's much better today with westerly winds, tomorrow should be clear.
I'm just glad it's not us having fires this time...knock on wood.

U.S. News

snip~
"Two wildfires were burning in the state Tuesday, near the towns of Wenatchee and Goldendale, The Seattle Times reported.

The Colockum Tarps fire -- which ignited 15 miles south of Wenatchee Saturday in dry grass, brush and undergrowth -- has consumed 25,000 acres, destroyed three residences and several outbuildings and forced the evacuation of 65 residences.

The Mile Marker 28 fire has burned 20,000 acres of timberland and shrub brush northeast of Goldendale. Fire crews have evacuated 69 homes, the newspaper said."

Walks, put in your zip code.
This is new from Accuweather. We are having the mildest August in memory, and I suspect an early winter, based on insect behavior.

We have some going on right now.  That all we need is some more fires in Washington and Oregon.  It is some what more rain then we normally get, so it may help with slowing down the fires.  But the lighting is a nice show of mother nature's power.

Get ready for some more rain, we just had a tropical downpour with lightening, an it's headed your way in a straight line, check the satellite, it hardly even registers as a storm, but it was a good one.

From my radar, it looks like it will hit East of us by about 75 miles.  More around the Walla Walla and the Pullman area.

Yeah, just updated the satellite, looks like it's pulling to the N/E, but it'll still be humid.

We are 81º right now with 14% humidity and we are up 500' and less then a ½ mile from the river.  We are looking for 91º around 1500.

We have 70% humidity and 73 deg. at 3000' , the valley below in the 90s, with more on it's way, and this was not in the forecast.

We don't even get 70% humidity at night even when it is raining.
