This month we had fog almost ever A.M. until about 9 A.M.  I like the snow it keeps the fog away.  Living 500' about the river the fog starts rolling in about 6 A.M.   It's been so nice I have did all the flower beds now, did the last up today.   If it keeps this up I will fertilize the lawn at the end of the month.   Trees are starting to bud out already.  Starting to run out of things to do so I think I will wash and wax the truck soon.
I have a thousand things to do, but with snow on the ground? I'll just sit on my ass and wait for it to melt.

If I were evil, I'd mention the sheets could be washed, the walkway could be shoveled, the floors vacuumed, but that would be mean, so I won't mention it.

With the kid gone and the good wife not touching tools.  All I have is the cat to blame.  But the nice thing about it, there right where I left them.   Well when I find them.

Well, the almanac has proven itself so far this year.  My zone was forecasted to get alot of snow, but the northern area of my zone was the one forecasted to get the snow.  Right on the money so far as the northern part has been blasted.  We've only seen a mixture twice.  We are getting very cold winds from Canada, some showers and two periods of heavy rain in February.  We have daffodils blooming everywhere and I can see the tell-tale pinkish tinge on the fruit trees up the road.  My camillas are blooming, not uncommon for them in any kind of weather.  My holly bushes have grown a foot since we planted them last spring.

This is a delicate time for where keyboarder is and where we are in WNC. If it gets too warm in February and early March the apple and peach trees will begin to bloom. Then the Easter freeze can ruin the crop for the season.

It may not be as cold as predicted, it snowed heavily, but the temperatures weren't all that cold as they usually are with these Alaskan fronts.
Hopefully it won't do the damage it has potential for, and will quickly move through as it did here.
Unfortunately for Key it might pick up more moisture than it had when it came through here.
Keep your fingers crossed.
