Solar do you see whats coming our way.

Yes, and it's a lot warmer than the last, which means even more flooding in the valleys from snow melt.

If they aren't whining about drought, they complain about something else.

Did you notice the cold air on the backside of the low diving down out of the North?
Looks like Thursday, or Friday will be interesting.

We will see if it drops below Canadian into the U.S.

Not only did the cold air come down, but a secondary low developed.
I'm still holding onto Thursday as a possible snow day and quading day.

Looks like we may wake to snow.

Well we have 1" of snow, it just stopped about 1700.   Look like rain will move in tomorrow as they are talking 37º daytime.

1" not enough to even try out my new snow thrower.  I put gas in it for the first time yesterday and fired it up.  Just to make sure it would work and to break it in before I had to move snow.  It fired right off, it has electric start by way of 110 or hand pulled . I run it at different speeds for 45 minutes.

I may need one by morning, I got home just over an hour ago and the temp was 40, it's now 33 and falling fast, with cold air moving in, we will awake to several inches.
I don't have the heart to tell ST she will have to drive to work in the snow.

Well, it's now official.  No more 65-70 deg. weather for us here in the SC mountains.  We've had rain and just enough low temps to form that ice on the decorations hanging off our deck and porch.  Snow above us, not 15 miles away.  We are right on the SC/NC border and it is very unpredictable here, but we get snow or at least ice and the folks down the road 7/8 miles get rain.     Anyways, it's cold here, finally.  Thankfully, it doesn't last long.  At least the children were all excited, thinking they would get to see snow while they were out for school holidays.

Looks like you're in for more seasonal weather for your area, while the West is cold but clear for a change.
We really haven't had any sun in a month and above normal rainfall.

I know what you mean, I can see a town about 8 miles away, but to get there is a 70 mile drive.

Were 21 right now, but even the meteorologists haven't a clue as what to expect the next few days, one says snow, another says clear, while another says a possibility of clear with rain and snow showers.
Throw in 40 days and 40 nights and she would have all her bases covered.

Yesterday it hit 32º tops but in the sun it felt like 70º.  But let the sun go behind a big cloud and you know it's 32º out right now.

Same here, it was a beautiful day, but hit the shade and it was ice.
I had to go down to the creek to work on pump wiring, well below freezing down there, couldn't get out fast enough.

Yep, we're in the zone where I live that is calling for numerous events of snow and ice.  The almanac says that the most of it will be just north of us but i've learned to expect more of the bad stuff because we live just about on the border between the two states and at the foot of some pretty big mountains.  Fronts coming in can be readily recognized-not much time to prepare.   According to the almanac, it should be fairing by end of March.
