84°F today and 98º in the sun.  Cut the grass twice today as I let it get a little long.   It was that or get one of the Swather.     The roses are coming on big time in the back yard and the miniature roses are all budding out in the front yard.  Had to bump the watering up from 15 min a day to 30 minutes, if it stays hot like this I will have to move it up to 45 minutes a day.  So I will be watering for 3.75 hrs a day.
I hate it, we broke records in the state yesterday, even hit 92 here in the mountains, with 78% humidity.
Strawberries will be ready to pick in a couple of days. This may be the coldest spring on record for the rest of the country, but out here in the Wesd, it's the earliest spring I've ever seen.

Right now it 62º at 19% humidity and it was calling for thunderstorms today last night.  But now it just calling for thundershowers.  The high for today is calling for 70º with a 60% Chance of rain.  Our strawberries are budding out big time.  In about two weeks I will be making my first strawberry cheesecake for the year.

Back to winter. :scared:
It's 29 deg. outside, as was yesterday. Walks, that low pressure circling over you is pumping Arctic air down on us, the upside, it killed off a boat load of bugs and hornets, wasps, stinkbugs and a whole host of pests.

I love it when Mother nature flips off the libs when they claim we're warming the planet.
It's not nice to piss off Mother Nature, she'll quickly make a liar out of these political hacks.

Probably will have a record low here tomorrow @ 43725, the forecast is for 35 and frost warning. Current record is 39 set in '67. I have had the wood burner fired up in May before, just not on Memorial Day weekend.
If it was easy everyone would be do'in it.

Almost always Mothers Day is the last day for freezing around us.  Grape and Apple growers feel safe from frost around my area.  But 50 miles away they don't.

May 15th is our frost date here. Looks like I'll be moving all the better half's flowers in this evening. Another blistering case of global warming.

Spring did come very early for us.  So I did move some flowers in and out more then once over the last two months.  I had some year around plants I had to cover two or three times over the last two months as the flowers started coming on early this year.

Summer will be here Thursday. We've had a beautiful Spring with very perfect weather here in the mountains, but come Thursday a high pressure sets in and the valley temps will be 105+, meaning we will see 90s, which really suck.

It suck for us also.     It will only hit in the high 80s to low 90s.   But I can't complain as Spring was long and the 70s and 80s, Spring came very early for us this year.  First cutting of alfalfa is done, raked, bailed and stacked.

  It is just 8 P.M. and it 83º out side.  The sun has not set yet over Horse Heaven ridge.

This is the areas I ride my quad in.

Off to the left about where the sun is setting is my house that you can not see.

Is that the one next to the corner where that barn used to be, right by the oak tree that got cut down?
Yep, I can see it.
