It's supposed to be in the upper seventies here next week. I'm ready to do some fishing.

Where is here?
We've been in Spring for over a month at 70+, when we should be getting snow here in the mountains of Northern Ca.

Upstate SC. It was like that here last year. Looks like spring has finally arrived for us.

Honestly, this sucks, we'll be in the 80s this week under dry sunny skies, when we should be plowing snow.
The biggest problem will be bugs like wasps and hornets, they are having a field day building nests, normally we would have a solid freeze with snow and wipe out 90% of the nests, so we're in for a nasty year of stings. :scared:

Well, the "sheriff" got our raised garden built and piled it up with compost and black cow added to the soil.  Got this done last weekend and did the planting Saturday.  He has even built a fence around it to keep the critters out.  It looks good.  Now he's tilling around the shrubs and tilling my flower beds, adding black cow where needed.  He has replanted my camillias because they weren't doing too good.  Only one out of four was actually doing good so he replanted them.  These are really expensive trees but I like them and want them to live.  My hollies are doing great and the golden eunonymous bushes are amazingly full and growing like crazy.  If all of the stuff he planted does good this time, I'll have my hands full trying to get it all canned.  I thought I'd do the Ball canning this year instead of freezing because it just tastes better from jars.  I have a really great place to store all of it in the basement.

We've had any kind of temp and weather condition that you can name here this year.  i've never seen the weather this erractic in all of my years.  It's all good though and will work itself out.  Just glad to feel the warmth of the sun and can enjoy the outdoors in relative comfort.

Sounds like all of you are experiencing the same weather patterns too.  Do we have any forum members from the heartland?

This is the earliest Spring I've seen in years, we are solid into Spring, pushing summer temps.
Sacto. valley in the upper 80s to low 90s, while we're in the mid to upper 70s.
We should be plowing snow right now.
But I'm not complaining, unless we're in a false start and Winter returns with a vengeance.

We have had rain off and on but no snow.   It's snowing up in the Blue Mountains yet off and on.   Rain is great for the dry farmers up in the high ridge areas.   Shut the water off to the yard last night, so I could cut the grass today before 11 A.M.  so that all done.

  Yep.....I'm cutting the lawn about 3 times a week now.  It should slow down next month, unless I fertilize again.

Wow, I hate it when it goes from cold to that hot in such a short time, it usually means humid and hot, something I don't deal with well. :scared:
But I guess that's better than cold and wet..

We'll be in the upper 70s to low 80 next week, the valley below in the mid 90s.

Sun is out and I have 110º on the back deck over looking the river.  It's only 50º in the front yard in the shade.  "Goa be a great day in the neighborhood",  Pulling the 5th wheel out of mothballs today.   Will get it all set up for a weekend or two and check it out.

The wife got her Medtronic Carelink montor for checking her pacemaker over a landline.  So once the Doc. tell her ok, we can start doing our walk-about again and be out for a month or two at a time again I hope.

84°F today and 98º in the sun.  Cut the grass twice today as I let it get a little long.   It was that or get one of the Swather.     The roses are coming on big time in the back yard and the miniature roses are all budding out in the front yard.  Had to bump the watering up from 15 min a day to 30 minutes, if it stays hot like this I will have to move it up to 45 minutes a day.  So I will be watering for 3.75 hrs a day.
