There calling for a 10% chance of snow tonight and Tue.   But most of the time we need about 30% + before we get it.   Been checking that big cold front coming down for the last 24hrs.   Looks like it will go around us moving more East around Spokane Wa.  on it's way back East.   We are @ 1200' A/S/L per my GPS.  The river is at 700' most of the time we see snow at about 2000' or above around 10% chance is all.  But the day is young yet.
In just over a couple of months we'll be looking at Spring racing in.

We start cultivating the land in March and start planting by the end of March in our area.

I have built a database for my neighbor so he can track everything on computer now.   Nov. is pressure washing and steam cleaning everything.   Dec, Jan and Feb is full maintenance on everything.  Then repaint everthing as needed.   Along with a full wax job on everything.

Solar, looks like that cold front will be dropping down in the mid West and around the Great Lakes.

Yeah, I've been watching it all morning hoping it would move on.
Looks like we might be warming up a bit finally.
I actually welcome deep extended freezes, it helps knock the bugs down for the next Summer.

I hate those damned things! We don't have an issue with them, that is unless your idiot neighbor has goats and doesn't keep their pen clean.
Last Summer every time I checked the mail, I would get swarmed, the goats were only a few hundred feet away, but the flies loved the heat on the mail box and would congregate.
My dog at the time used to freakout and run into the forest at the first sign of a horse fly.
I assumed he got bit as well. :scared:

We have two very large cattle/dairy farms.  One in Oregon about 40 miles away and the other about 35 miles to the East of us.  When the wind is just right we get flies.  Thank God it is only about once a month or so.  Summer time we don't keep much fruit in the house for long or we get fruit flies.

It's weird, up here in the mountains, we don't get the same obnoxious bugs every year. It changes like cycles about every 5 to ten years depending on weather.
Last year, was grasshoppers, year before was noseums, the year before that, some kind of stink beetle that leaves it's pheromones streaking down everything like 8' sliding doors with dozens of white stinky streaks from top to bottom.
Can't dry clothes outside, or you'll have to wash them again.
One thing we haven't had a problem with is mosquitoes, which is strange since we have so many creeks around here.

Hey, check out the satellite pic, I noticed something really strange, in the center of the low in the Pacific where the sky is kind of clear, look at the streaks in the clouds, they look like jet trails crossing the ocean, but I highly doubt they are.

You may have to copy and paste the second frozen image, it wouldn't show in the preview.

I see that, maybe even a snow flurry possible?
We had an actual Spring day here, it hit 60, but were still hitting the teens every night.

I don't see snow for us in my area.   But that cold front should hit northern states starting this weekend big time.  Some spots could see -7º around the Great Lakes region, with snow all the way down to NC tonight.
