Well we hit 110º today at my place.   Damn GW.
Is it me, or is this the most active year for weather in the Pacific? I have watched the satellite pic for decades, but I don't ever remember seeing so many constant systems/storms in the pacific this late in summer.
Could we be in for an early winter?

Could be LOL.   Starting next week they are call of over 100º all next week in my area, so I am looking for 105º+ in my little area of the world.  The back deck will be hitting 140º by mid A.M. with the sun bouncing off the river.

Well this is the first day we have been under 100º for the last week.  Yep only 98º LOL.  Last night I stepped outside at 9:30 P.M. and the wind was blowing at 25MPH and it was 95º out, talk about walking into a Blast Furnace.  I BBQ at about 5:00PM and the BBQ was 150º before even lighting my gas grill.  I guess I should look at getting a Solar BBQ Grill.

Hell, at that temp, you probably didn't even need to light it.

Yes, it's been about 94 for the last two weeks everyday with warm nights, and now we're supposed to start cooling down.

Last night I killed the air, opened the window and turned the fan on low. I woke up about 3:00 am, freezing my ass off, I was literally shaking I was so damn cold, it was in the upper 40s, we haven't been that cool in weeks.

I slid over and wrapped around Toy, she sleeps with the mattress pad on.

Also, just got the diesel tank filled yesterday, and awoke to a leak in it, so I wiped it to see how bad it was..... Mistake, it sprung 12 pinhole leaks, we lost about 50 gallons.
So Toy got online and searched for another tank, found one right off, a 500 gallon tank about a mile from the house.

What a day.

We are only getting hit with 105º for the next 3 days.  Then drop down into the low 90º.  I can live with that.

Same here, 100 for three days? Maybe, and then cooler. The forest needs the heat, takes out the weak.

Over 30 fires burning in Ca, mostly dry lighting, if you didn't know it was smoke, you'd swear it would be raining any moment. It's that thick.

We only have 6 right now.  The big one right now is running at 28.000 Acres around Yakima Wa. in the Taylor Pond area.  Oregon has 10 going.  Air clean for us right now.  Looks like your getting smock from 3 of Oregon fires also.

Make that 43 fires. All of my smoke is local, or out of Socal, it just keeps reversing direction depending on time of day.
But they claim it might all change today as a system sweeps by, but unless it rains, which it won't, we'll still have a shitload of smoke.

I've only been able to leave the house for a about an hour a day as the smoke shifts out of the west or south, and back again over us.
Luckily none of the fires are within 50 miles of me...

State Fire update, over 500 fires burning in Ca, some small, but some well over 200 thousand acres.
They're calling for possible thunder showers in my area, better chance of lightning than rain, not good. Smoke made yesterday cold, was supposed to be in the 90s, we were in the 70s due to no sun.

We have had 50MP winds today.  With smock and a dust storm a long with it.  With the smock and dust you could only see about 600ft outside.   Power has been off 2 time each time for about 2.5hrs. each.   Using my hot spot as my Y5 is down now.  It is nice to have a back up for the net now, when the Y5 goes down.

The power co. always does a great job in our area for being over 67 miles out of town.

Woke up. got coffee, let Diesel out to pee and feed the cats. It hit me like a blast furnace.
Wind is howling and the temp is a dry ass 80 degrees.

Glad I left the air on all night. Problem, is, all those Fires between you and me, just kicked up and out of control, won't know till daylight.
