Gosh, what do y'all do for a living, if i may ask?  My husband is a plc electrician and works at 3m but his round trip  at work is 84 miles.  Gas is 3.07/gal.  Was 3.73/gal all summer.  Strange right here before elections that it's going down.  that is just a false sense being handed out because of the election.  We'll never see prices below 1.89/gal again or as long as Bambi has anything to do with it.  He is the regulator/ restrictor, so prices will stay up around where they are or higher.

I have been retired for the last 10 years.  But always have a honey do list.  LOL  I have a Diesel truck and the Diesel Prices around me are right now $4.42/gal.  When I was a kid I remember paying 15 ¢/gal for gas and getting a glass and full service.  Now I fill my own tank and pay 114.92 $ a tank and check my own oil, water, tire pressure.   I also clean my own windows, headlights and morris.

Talk about changes in the forecast!  After temps near 80deg. all week, we now have a chance of snow as early as monday.  It was first forecast for lows in the mid 30's and highs near 60deg.  Now it could snow.  I guess we'll check out all of the winter equipment today because all it has to do around here is threaten snow or ice and our town goes into full frantic buying of loaf bread and milk.

Retired 10 years as well, so I don't have to leave the mountain hardly ever.
The little lady still commutes over 100 miles round trip, so she can stop at the store if necessary.

Did I mention I'm totally spoiled?

Walks - Not sure what is happening for you up there right now but the rain has started and it should turn to snow either late tonight or tomorrow.  Good thing I took the week off.  I can hunker down with my computer, my Kindle, or just watch a movie.  Just the way I like to deal with snow.  Toy

We are not seeing ice or snow in my area yet.   We live in a little banana belt area and it bypasses us most of the time, this time a year.   We will get down to the low 30 to 22º over the next 4 days at nights.  But will be around 47 to 45º day time.   We are @ 700' above sea level.   Snow will hit all around us at the 3000' level.   Cascade Mountains on one side of us and the Blue Mountains on the other side of us.  I don't look for snow until about 2ed or 3th week in Dec other then just a dusting if that.

We are hitting 45º day time and 28º at night or I should say between 0300 and 0500.
