I cut the lawn today.
I didn't.
I love a nice lawn, I just hate the part of taking care of it.
If I lived in town, I'd be the grump yelling "Damn kids, get off my lawn."

They would have to walk 68 miles to walk on my lawn.

When I first bought my property 30 years ago, I had taken the time to plant a nice lawn at the entry, lined it with downed trees, literally a park setting.
Came home to find a bunch of flat landers from the Bay Area had set up camp right in the middle of the lawn, had all their offroad toys splayed out.
Needless to say, I wasn't exactly fuckin polite as I ran their asses off.

Like moths to a light, these assholes think the entire forest is theirs to abuse.

They are calling for 74º today and in the 80's by next Thur.  I was just starting to enjoy Spring.  Next thing you know the wife will be asking for the A/C.

Man, that was quick. I hope we get another month before we hit the 80s, but Spring can be tricky and slip a couple of 90s in there when you least expect it.

Been hitting the upper 70s all week, then 85 today.
Spending the week cleaning up the campsite after flooding, tons of wood debris, lots of mud where none used to be, dropped about 6 trees, now we have 6 cords of Doug fir, Tan and Live oak and Madrone for next year, and the year after and the year after that.
But I can't take the credit, Toy did her kindling thing while cleaning up slash, while a guy I hired cheaper than any Mexican, has been busting his ass working 3 to 4 hrs a day.
That's all he wants, just enough money to exist on. I must say, the property looks better than it has in a decade.

We hit 80º today and in the sun it was 95º.  Two more days in the high 80º then we drop down into the high 60's.  Looks like I need to replace 5 watering heads this week.  They just stopped moving after all these years.     Not a problem, just pop the grass back and take the heads off and put in new ones.  Don't have to take the full thing out to change them.  Just the top/guts.

Well we dropped down for 85º to 65º in no time at all, wind pick up to 25 and 30 mph from about 5 mph.

Thunder and lightning for about 30 min. and two hours of ran.
What a nice show to eat dinner by.

I have not had to use heat of over a month.  Have been using the AC for over 3 weeks now.

Well, it looks summer is about to finally hit. This week is heading into the upper 90s, I just hope it's a dry heat. :scared:
