Fire season is officially over, got over an inch of rain last night.
Leaves off the trees, Fall pretty much ended as well, we'll move into winter at the end of the month.
The cycle repeats...

Trees are starting to turning.  Cut the grass very low the last time, so the wind will blow the leave out of the yard.  Wind has been running 10 to 25 mph all this week and that's not counting the gusts of wind off and on up to 40 mph.  Will have rain for the next 2 days off and on.

Luckily I don't have all that many deciduous trees, 90% conifer, which is also shedding tons of Doug fir needles all over the place after the winds that howled through last night.
Now I can finally finish my half mile of road down to the creek, that's been 6" of clay dust, talc-like powder. I had to blow out my air filters on the razer and tractor every 3 days it was so bad.
I haven't been down to the camp site yet, but I'll bet it's now 6" of mud instead, but hey, no more dust.

I was trying to find a good computer model, but all the sites want you to pay for access, and this one was way down on the list, about 3 pages back in search, but man, it has a lot of functionality.

For anyone else, reading, this is for the entire world, not just the West Coast.

Our first freeze was a couple of weeks back, but that was down on the creek, where it's usually several degrees cooler, just before our first rain.
I'm halfway looking forward to the next rains, problem is, we'll be overcast for a week, which means burning diesel in the genset for power.

Oh, by the way, Ca raises the gas tax 15 cents per gal tomorrow. These libs are totally fuckin stupid.

Since last night, we're at 4" of rain and counting.
But be assured, they'll still claim it doesn't stop the drought that ended last year.

We had rain off and on for the last week if you can call it that.

0.19 for the month, but we had some winds off and on at 40mph.  About right for this time a year.

We're at 8" for the month, 13" for the season, so it looks like it's shaping up to be another really wet year with a lot of snow.
We get wind, but because I'm nestled in the forest I seldom see wind at ground level, kind of miss it really.
