Wow. I just came across this. I hope all is well. So they went through the throat to get to the spine. Sorry but I couldn't handle that. I have been through many surgeries I have nearly died twice. I beat cancer twice but I don't think i could deal with that. Anything with the mouth or nose I have a problem with. It's almost claustrophobic. She's stronger than I am by far.

I just cooked a turkey breast with mashed potatoes and gravy, its the first solid food she's had in days.
She is feeling much better, the doctor had her on Norcol, which made her nauseous and drowsy, so I asked him if it was OK to give her some of my Oxycontin and he agreed.
Now she feels much better and is resting watching TV.
She will post as soon as she has the energy to get up.

Never heard of Norcol...

Excellent news.... I hope the times comes fast when she can come say hi,,,,, let her know I am thinking the good thoughts for her....

Thanks to all for the positive thoughts and well wishes.   I had no idea I was living with a food pusher.  Constantly hounding me to eat something-anything.   

The worst part of trying to eat is it feels like everything gets caught in your throat.  I feel like a cat with a hairball.  The highlight of my day today is that I finally get to shower.  It is getting debatable who smells worse me or our dog Butters.

And your right Walks I have already been scolded about trying to do anything.
