I have fairly severe tinnitus -- ringing in the ears -- and I turn on the TV in my room at a very low volume so that I have something to distract from the shrieking in my ears.  Hallmark is a good channel because the programming is fairly quiet, no gunfights or car chases, and in the morning I can look back at what episodes of The Golden Girls and Frasier I am aware of having heard, so I can kind of judge how well I slept.

Then in October they start smearing those poorly made, tone-deaf Christmas movies 24/7 all over the TV and I have to switch to MeTV.  Why they even have an audience for those movies is beyond me.

I do like MeTV; I wish they'd get a Roku channel and offer streaming and on-demand.

There's a lot I like on MeTV also.

I'm a total troglodyte so I haven't the vaguest idea about Roku, etc.

I put up a digital antenna and bought a DVR some years back. One of the Columbus stations I can pick up is MeTV. I've got all the Gunsmoke and Andy Griffith and Hogan's Heroes I can stand!

You could also look into IMDb. They stream lots of old B&W TV shows for free, though they do show ads. I get it through Amazon Prime. I can honestly say now that I have seen every episode of Perry Mason ever made, including the one shot in color during the final season.

I get MeTV through my local phone company's TV bundle, but I'd like to be able to stream it on my devices when I travel.  Right now, I DVR all the "My Three Sons" and "Petticoat Junction" I can handle.
