We did not feel it and the dogs did not respond. Others in the neighborhood felt it. It was about 100 miles away.
Is that an area built over a giant underground natural reservoir? That's a rather large quake for your neck of the woods.
When those hit me here in the mountains, it sounds like a freight train coming, then the house vibrates as if a giant cement compacting machine was mounted under the house, gone in seconds.
But when they hit the valley, they tend to roll in visible waves, much like you see in the ocean, only further apart. Both scare the crap out of you because you never know how strong it's going to get.
