Please keep the folks in SC in your thoughts and prayers. Many parts of the state received over 20" of rain over the weekend. The flooding is monumental. Having had 4 feet in my house in 1979 I know what they are in for. One just does not go in and cleanup then rebuild. All the wood must be totally dry before reconstruction or mildew and mold will takeover.

Literally of Biblical proportion.
Especially that area being so humid and moving into the wet season, it's doubtful most homes will dry out quickly enough to hedge against mold.

Yep. Cooler and wetter weather is not good for drying.

If I remember correctly, the area seldom gets humidity in the single digits, which is why the seasons are considered generally mild temp wise?
Is that correct?

What a mess there.  I'm praying for them all.  So many are dealing with total destruction.
Makes me sad.

Correct. It is humid as there are the rivers and it is only 125 miles from the coast so they get the ocean moisture as well. Knowing the area pretty well I would be surprised if a lot of folks have Flood insurance. Those on the coast probably do due to the hurricane exposure.
