We should hit 32º tonight, day time will be in the 70º all week.  (in the sun about 80º) Have not had the A/C on for two weeks.  Windows wide open starting 1000 hrs until 1800 hrs.  Grass will slow down now I will only need to cut once a weeks not every 3 to 4 days.  This A.M we had our first fog come up off the river and gone by 0900 hrs for this year.  The some tree have started turning.  The leaves will start dropping soon around the end of Oct or before.  Getting to be good old home made soup time.  We BBQ year around even at 15 below and in the snow.   ;D

Same here, leaves are already falling.
I expect an early snow this year, probably before the end of the month, but like you, we too will keep right on cooking outside, I love charcoal, but ST loves her propane BBQ.

I'm just looking forward to the dry cold, I hate humidity! :'(

By the end of Nov. it will be a very dry cold.  When the sun is out you can run around in a T-shirt after the sun has been out for 2 hrs.   8)

I sooo look forward to that, once the snow is on the ground, the humidity drops to around 3%, so the cold doesn't go through your clothes like a cold fog does.

We get a fog off the river off and on for about a month then it is gone until around spring for about a month also.  It's about time for the duck to start South, but there slow at moving this year.   I look for snow around Dec. 15.

We get some fog off the creek, but it usually comes in the form of water dogs, one minute it's clear and sunny, the next you can't see 20' in front of you and as quick as it came, it vanishes.

The Geese have been heading South here for about three weeks, which is why I suspect an early cold Winter.

I can't wait for it to get cold.  Sorry but I love the winter time.   Trees have been changing for about 2 weeks around here. Sunday the buzzards were flocking together. I know they are gettin ready to go.  Geese are doing their wingersizes for the flight, some will stay.  Hummingbird feeders are not touched now so tnhis weekend I will take them down and clean them for next season.  I am dragging plants inside for the winter now and doing the last of the herb collecting.  They say it's going to start early this year... I do so look forward to doing Halloween in my carharts, lol.

I'm okay with the snow until I have to drive in it.  There's this ditch just as you come out of the driveway and head up the mountain....I have yet to make it past that point in the car.  It is an AWD Subaru so I really don't have much of an excuse....  I just trek back down to the house cussing and telling Solar to get the tractor...again. ;D ;D ;D ;D
