We getting winds of 30 and 40 mph with gusts of 55+.  Started about 1900hrs and will go until Tue. at about 0800hrs.  I cleaned all the leaves up today in the yard before it started blowing.  This should take what left on the trees right over the cliff.  Yard work is done for the year.   ;D

So don't know if it will get down your way Solar, as it is headed East.

We've been having North winds for the last couple of days.
I hope they increase, because for us they are compression winds, meaning they become hot and dry.

But I was just looking at the satellite photo closer since you thought they might be coming here, unfortunately it looks like they will hit the East side of the Sierra.

Hope I'm wrong, I love hot dry North winds in the Winter. :))
OK, Fall, but up here Winter already hit.

Up where I live we call them Chinook winds now. In my much younger days they were call Snow Eater. As the winds droped snow on the West side and warm air on the East side of the mountains.

where we are at (700ft) above sea level we will be ok.

In this Washington State we have 15 passes, so I would say after this storm they will close 3 of them for the year.
