Post it Eyes and I can go in and adjust the size down for you.  I just have to go in and adjust the YaBBC tag for width and height.

He may be getting the message "to big" because of megabyte size, not page size.
He needs to reformat it for email, would be my guess.

Should be able to do a  [img width=*** height=***]http://url[/img] and it should resize it, I would think.

Not if what he is trying to upload is megabytes in size, most pics are in kilobytes, not megabytes.
Today's cameras take pics in gigabytes.

I am quite ignorant about computers, I am told the picture is too big, but no instructions how to reduce it, not left or right click instructs.I did not try to email it to myself, but will try that now.

Ok, I am not sure if or how I am doing this, But here goes. This is from back in the day on a hike in Foz du Iguacu, Brazil. if it works, a more up to date photo will follow.

Now it is saying the uploader is full, Have I multiple pictures clogging it up?

Sounds like you're on the right track.
Sizing it for email was the right move, that generally shrinks the Kilobyte size, so the pic is sent much faster, since you took out much of the detail that most people would never notice missing anyway.

Now it sounds like your box is full, you need to figure out how to empty the uploader box, generally you will find a help file in the program or site.
Look around the program/site for a way to delete your previous uploads, or start a new upload.

I can't really help without more detail, like what site you're using as a host site.
I assume you are using a host site like Flikr, or Fotki?
You need a site to host the pic, because we can't look at your personal computer to view the pic, that's why a host is important, we can view host sites.

No host site, I hit browse here, then go to my pictures, choose a picture, and then reduce it on "Edit" from the right click. I reduced it in size and sent it, still to big, then again, and was told here the uploader was full.

The picture I am using is the one in my avatar, which seemed to have no problem in receiving.

The only way to post a pic here is to first upload it to a host site, even facebook can be considered a host site.
But one I use and they are just one of hundreds is :
http://beta.photobucket.com/?home_ab=true (http://beta.photobucket.com/?home_ab=true)

Just open a free account, it will walk you through the process.
I've had my account with them for about a decade, seldom use it, but the pics are still there if I ever need them.
The process takes about 3o minutes, but it's pretty easy for beginners.

Thanks, walks, I was hoping your "Hmm" might have an answer to the conundrum of how the picture could automatically shrink to small, but not worked to a medium size.

This is from a two years ago, at Myakka State Park ( Florida) in one of their wilderness campsites. As a bordom killer during camping trips, I find a suitable hiking stick, debark it, decorate it, and then hide it in plain site where it is likely to be eventually found by somebody. It gets signed in some way, and the hopes are it is found by somebody who needs it, and if they leave it, take it home or burn it, it does not really matter. Just passing forward some good will.

It could be my computer, I keep a journal and I am told the entire month of October is not Accessable, and if I try to access it I will destroy my computer.

I do not get the  "Full" message at other sites, just here, but I cannot download pictures there, either.

My phone mysteriously dissappeared, so further contact with Elfie is delayed.

Photobucket wants me to upgrade to make my photos accessable to facebook, twitter, etc. but I do not want that.

My Protection systems are current, and indicate no problems.

Photobucket has upgraded it's system...... with the upgrade it now gives you the choice to make them to the social sites,,,, a CHOICE  not an automatic....

When you guys get this figured out, I'll go through and clean up the posts, it's supposed to be for pics only.
No big, I just don't want people having to scroll through pages to get to pics.

Please go ahead and remove my unphotoed posts, I won't try again here for a while. I just can't figure how I could fill something I had not used, and even postage stamp sized pictures are not being accepted here. After I poke around a bit and try to post elsewhere, I will try again. One thing you might be able to help me with is where do I get an "URL" number? There is nothing that says URL, and none of the numbers I can find work.

URL is an address link, if you click the one in the second row above, second from the right you'll see one, if you post a video, you click that image and it puts url at each end of your address to where the video came from so it can pick it up and post it here.
If you just click the image, it creates this, [url /url], which does nothing without an address between the two urls.
Think of it as an envelope without an address on the outside of the envelope, the url tag acts as both, to and from addresses.

Basically what they're asking for is an address, whether it's your email or the address or the address your host is using to keep your photos, or is it asking for your Documents address in your computer.
I need more information, if you can tell me what program is requesting the address, would help plenty.

Instructions using XP and your free Paint program. If you're using Windows 7 it'll be a LITTLE different.  I also prefer www.imgur.com to any other for uploading photos. No need to register or sign in or any other silly stuff.

Do this (if you're using Windows):

1) Open Paint (it's in "Accessories")
2) Browse to your image
3) Open image
4) Now click on "Image" in the Paint tool bar
(https://conservativepoliticalforum.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Flb88d.jpg&hash=3fdf78bbcec962a2e7f44a6cd9bc1fe7fdf39db9)

5) You'll get a drop down menu. Now click on "Attributes"

6) You'll now see the image size in pixels. If taken with a camera, it'll be HUGE.  You'll want the image no larger than 400 to 500 pixels wide.  "Make it so."  Make sure you keep the ratio between width & height or it'll be distorted.

7) If you're happy with the size for posting or emailing, click "Save As" and give it a NEW Name--otherwise you'll lose the large picture.  I usually go with "pic-sm.jpg" (for "small")
