Any pipe smokers out there? What's your favorite tobacco?

I'm digging Lane LL7 for an aromatic, and Dunhill Early Morning Rise as my goto English blend. Notable Dunhill mention - Elizabethan blend.

Awww, I can smell it as I type, though sadly, I just quit smoking cigars, which means the pipe had to go as well.....

I gave up smoking 30+ years ago.   I do miss the pipe now and then.  I have no problems with second hand smoke.  I just don't allow smocking in the house as my wife don't even like second hand smoke.  If the wind is just right she can smell someone smoking over a half mile away.

Yeah man you can't top the smell. This Lane LL7 and 1-Q pipe tobbaco I've been smoking is spot on. Makes my house smell reeeaallll good.

Best pipe? MO Meerschaum corn cob pipe! 3-5 bucks...

Meerschaum corn cob pipe? I had both, a Meerschaum and a corn cob, but never the hybrid, and yes, both exquisite, though I never used gloves to smoke the rock, and Corn cobs always burned out, just when they got good.

Missouri Meerschaum is a trade name and not a type. It's a corncob pipe with a better than average mouthpiece for such an inexpensive pipe.

I quit pipe smoking last August 1 after about 15 years of pipes and 30 years of cigarettes before that. It's your lungs, but after 45-50 years of smoking I (and mine) had had enough.

Is that like claiming yesterdays roadkill is still fresher than the butchers daily special, so it's somehow on par, if not better?

Good for you, I gave up cigarettes in 1980 after a decade of stupid, and smoked a pipe over the years with little to no frequency. Kind of a self regulating hobby due to the impracticality of lugging around all related paraphernalia.
But cigars are just getting too expensive due to Fed taxation.
It's like killing off the idiot relative everyone tolerates....
Ya know, we, the people should tax every politician as a sin tax, maybe we can do to them what they do to American interests.

Yeah like quiller said, MO Meerschaum is just the brand. I'm trying my hand at making my own corn cob pipes. Probably gonna turn out terrible.

I've never smoked cigs. Pipe smoking isn't healthy, but I do it somewhat infrequently depending, and out of the three (Cigs, Cigars, Pipes) I think pipe smoking is the least worst.

Plus it's just super relaxing to take the time to pack your pipe and sit back and smoke it.

Unless you have a pipe with a filter, it's worse than cigars, assuming you don't smoke cigars down past the band.
The cigar acts as it's own filter, but then, you're more apt to smoke a cigar more frequently than a pipe throughout the day, because as you mentioned, the ritual of sitting down and relaxing.
