    Congrats to you both, from us both (now working on 12 years).

I remember attending the family reunion we held to celebrate my paternal grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary. (And Grandma was Grandpa's second wife!) My own parents made it to 57 years before Dad passed.

It's a beautiful thing, man! Best wishes from me to you both!

Congrats old man.
My parents made their 65th, and I used to question why they stayed together all those years, they just didn't seem all that close. That is, until the other would become ill or something, then you could see it.

Yeah, decades together, because they believed in family, they didn't stay together for themselves, they stayed together for us. The stayed together, out of loyalty to one another, a vow taken decades back, a promise of support, their word.

Regardless of the reasons, they shared a life together for a reason, that being they loved each other, just like you and yours.
Something we can all look to for inspiration and only hope happens for us.

Here's to another four decades old man.

Thanks all.  As I married much older in my life for the first time.  I will be very lucky if I make even 60.
