We are all ready for ice out, and the place was buzzin bout that whole mess.  Still have 8 people that have not moved up or at least tied down anything.      Lets just say they are kickin in gear now,lol.   Bright and sunny it was and warm,,,it was nice to feel.  We couldn't make fire as the fire pit is frozen solid, its about 2' deep.... but it was ok, snowsuits, boots and gloves was perfect.     The warm started melting all that snow,,,reduced alot and also made water ponding all over everything.  Good thing we had the boots,lol. I , of course brought everything cept the bread, off to walmart I had to go, we needed some bird seed to so it didnt bother me to much to go.  Drive was quiet,listened to  Clapton cd on the way.   Then on one of the corm fields about 80' from the road, I saw a rather big bird.  I thought it was a turkey.  How wrong I was,,, it was a young eagle.  Just standing there looking around.  I figure it was alittle tired trying to make it's way to the lock n dam.  That's where all the other eagles are.    Got home,,,made lunch,,, we then packed the little trailer with the rest of the chairs cept 4, those are up top on the deck. So is the small weber.  Everything else....to high ground it went.
Ol broke wing showed up.   Broke wing is a goose.   He busted his wing but good about 6 years ago.. Cant fly at all. How that ol boy is still hanging out, I honestly don't know.  I fed him corn, tossed it on the river ice for him.  He wont come up if Bandit is out,  he got his fill n took a big long nap standing one legged,lol.  That always cracks me up.
Dinner was done and cleaned up, then the Bud shoot-out came on so we headed for the fav lil watering hole down river.   Daytona is going to be fun to watch,,,that track is fast now that they've redone the pavement.
Played all kinds of blues on the juke box, dancin in acting the silly fools we did. It was just us,,,so,,,why not,lol.
Today it was way warmer.  The river is starting to pond now,,the creek has begun it's beginning bow. You see when the frozen bows that means the water is starting to rise.  We would love it to rise about 3' and just nice n easy take it away,lol.  Bets are , some say it will bust Thursday or Friday, others say it will bust Sunday.    Well, the good thing is,,,if it busts Sunday, we will all be to the fav bar to help move everything out real quick like... I got some pics today,,, haven't transferred em yet. I will tomorrow,,,the befores and the afters will come ,well, after,lol.
Came home alittle early.  A good thing.... I thought Ban could take it being as warm as it was, but she's , it's just to much even with her coat on.
We're all restin now... and that is a wonderful thing.

You like Clapton? You're my new bestest friend!  :)  I loved your description of the eagle and Broke Wing. I actually saw a bald eagle a few days ago; my husband didn't believe me so he got his binoculars out and looked for himself.
