For about 10-15 years I have thought about moving to some place like Costa Rica.  Has anybody tried such a move?  On RealCostaRica they say about 60% of the people who move there, move back home.  International Living paints too rosy a picture whereas RealCostaRica seems to lay things out better.  They both agree the cost of living is lower, and that may be a consideration since IRS rates will surely sky rocket.

My view of Costa Rica was it is a third world country with good weather. I think folks who enjoy what we have here in the USA think it is worth a little extra cost.

THIS is(WAS) the last free place on earth.   How can any place be better than America??   Stay and run these blue tyrants out...let THEM move to Costa Rica...or let them run to the safety of their underground bunkers...the sons of bitches have to come out sometime.

Stop and think WHY all them Hollywood people that say they will move don't.     The "grass is always greener on the other side" until you have moved.  Your rights don't always follow you outside the good old U. S. A.

Now this is a great point, and one of my prime concerns.  Weather and cost of living were my primary attractions.  I have been thinking of this even before Obama was even heard of.  I have even thought of Montana/ Wyoming as a total change of pace.  I have lived in Michigan, Oklahoma and Florida with Oklahoma being the place I liked the most.  I despise big city life and the biggest city near me in Florida is 14,000.  Little advice to anyone considering moving anywhere in the US check out https://www.city-data.com/

People can stop saying they are staying to fight for Democracy, my incentive was not political.  I am just looking for the perfect place.  Actually right now I live in a well kept retirement community, and I would have a hard time beating the cost of living anywhere except in a 3rd World country.  You would be surprised at how many people move to Thailand.  There is a whole International Living industry, but you must weight their advice because they are trying to make money off you.
