My oldest daughter called me this evening to let me know her kitty Mr had died.  She had "bought" Mr with her own money when she was fifteen.   He has been with her through all of her ups and downs of life.  I know she will miss him horribly.

Since she lives in an apartment I, with Solar's okay, have offered to bury him up here on the property with the other animals who rest in this soil.  I believe it gives her a kind of peace to know he will be somewhere with those who knew him.  :( :( :(
I pray, not wish because I have a God not a Genie.

My condolences to your daughter.  I know my dogs are my family so I can imagine how sad she is.  I'm sure she is happy that Mr. is going to be laid to rest on family ground.

She is accepting that it was his time...slowly.  She had him for almost 10 years.  She still has her two dogs (Pidgy and Squirtle) and her other cat - Chewie.  I made a cross tied with a red ribbon for his grave and took pictures which I sent to her.  She will be posting a eulogy tonight on her Facebook page.  :(

We, in this house, lost our family cat- Charlie - 3 years ago. Charlie's picture remains on the refrig. We still love and miss him. He lived to the ripe old age of 17 yrs. He truly was a great cat.

On Halloween, Rachel found Chico Tito, a tuxedo kitten at PetsMart. He is so cute and very fun.

I sure hope one day, she will find another kitten. As Inked stated, my condolences too.

These pets become members of our families.

Yes they do become part of our families and part of us.  Solar and I have 3 dogs but Libby was mine before we met.  Solar does not look forward to the day I lose her....  Fortunately she is only 3 so I expect many more years with my puppy. :) :)

I will pass on the condolences to my daughter.
