This is too funny.
in 1986 I owned a chain of health clubs, well, SMUD, the local utility district approached me and said they would replace all my bulbs with energy efficient ones from Lites of America, at no charge to me.
I said fine, they replaced more than a couple hundred in total, and that was that.
Keep in mind, this was free to me, despite the fact I was already paying exorbitant electric rates as a business owner, so as to subsidize local homeowners. (yeah, socialist Ca)
Well, today I get a check in the mail for one hundred and seventy-five bucks.
Turns out, Lites of America was sued for lying about the life expectancy and lost big time.
Yeah, it's not much, but it'll buy some good cigars. :lol:
