I have been posting since August, and rare is the day that I don't at least read everything posted.  I posted a lot more prior to three weeks ago when lumpling #4 was born.  I found this site via google search for "conservative forum".  I was feeling rather alone before I found this place.   So, what brought you?

Solar

My guess would be that they are tired of being used as pawns by the left and want to be allowed to think for themselves for a change.

The "If you have a vagina, the GOP wants you to die" crap grew really old and stale overnight.

I hope no one finds that offensive.

Are you kidding?  It seems that the trend these days is to see how insulting you can be to other people.  Well, that's not me.  i had rather leave than to get down on that level.  Oh, i've had my moments when I was not only tempted but followed thru on the hateful side of me.  i can tell you, it does not make for a sense of real accomplishment to give in and "join the crowd".

I agree, it seems that a lot of non-conservatives get very emotional and vitriolic.  I try very hard not to take the bait.

What I was really wondering though is, did you know someone here, find a trackback, or Google search?  I think Solar is right, it is hard to find a place where you are not constantly on the offensive.

All I did was Google "Conservative forums" and this is the first one that popped up.  I usually read before I join to see if there is nastiness on board. I don't mean to sound like I'm goody two shoes but I just draw the line at mental abuse.  I've already zeroed in on one silly heart like myself.  It makes my day to be lighthearted and have fun.  I can be serious but who wants to be serious all the time?  You can do either and still be kind.
Goupstate was my forum for years as is GaffneySC.proboards.com.  Both great forums but Goupstate went downhill until they shut it down for whatever reason.  i think it was the overall mood which got rough.  The Gaffney forum has always been a milder kind of forum and nobody gets upset there.

Cool, welcome!  I just like the atmosphere here, some people here go to LNF, I tried reading there, and just didn't like it.  Too much egg shell walking, and snark.
