Ok now, make sure you take a seat, steel yourself for the shock, here I am!

J/K I don't have a real pic of myself to post, but I will get one and do so shortly. :)

Just curious, but I thought it would be interesting to see what our members looked like.
So tell us a little about yourself and how you found us.
And note to Bert, shorts and underwear pulled up! :D
Sorry about the size of the pica, that wasn't supposed to happen. :o

Me, I'm a Jack of all trades, master of many, except anything artsy...
Pretty much been in business off and all of my life and retired as a Defense contractor in alternative energy.

This is me in Korea 1973.

This was take a few years ago on my back deck.

This one taken a couple of months ago, getting firewood ready for the next several years.

Solar, what's the armband in the first pic say? Looks like it says, Official Photo something or other. I assume of course it's you in the military?

I like telling a girl who thinks she has dark brown hair that it is dark as coal in the middle of the night....
That's pretty damned dark!

Ok now I"m curious. How did you go into the military, and wind up as a photographer?

Quite honestly. I've led a blessed life. Yes life, my entire adult life has been handed to me on a silver platter.
All thanks to God, every second of everyday, all because of God.
Ya know. looking back, I'd say the day I became a photog, was the day God said he would always watch over me, before that, I was running on the luck of a child or fool, take your pick, I was both..

Is this a closed group, open only to approved members or is it open to anyone who registers?

The NSA will never know who you are.

Lol, Solar, somehow I missed to see your photos from the first page by now, don't know how, and when you said you have served in Korea, I figured out it was during the Korean War, and that you must be over 80 by now, ha ha.

I saw images of me I posted before are not visible anymore, because Imageshack has quit free photo hosting, so I have decided to show some other, which I am kind of proud of. I hope they will be visible from Flickr. It is me serving 1 year of compulsory military service in a signal corps, from March 2000 to March 2001, pictured in April of 2000, in the city of Podgorica, Montenegro, which is now another country. My sister took them with a simple 8 mm film photo camera, so they are of low technical quality. We didn't have another photo camera at that time, because of selling our old Praktica, don't know why they sold it anyway.

This is pictured while we were taking the military oath. During the practice few days before, someone from behind me crashed my watch with his bayonet, and I was angry, but it died to protect my arm, lol. I am in the first row, second from the right.

And this is me with my aunt.

I was fantasizing of a military career, but I had some dispute with my captain after the first month, just before taking this oath, he insulted me for something that was not true, and so I didn't speak to him for the rest 11 months, and therefore couldn't have asked to remain in the military as a professional soldier.

Adjusted jpg size.

Are you the one in uniform holding a gun? j/k...

I served in Korea during Nam, so that puts me in my 60s, and I doubt I'll make it to my 80s.

I'd post a new one, but I just keep getting younger and better looking.
The pics I posted are, I think at least 8 or 10 years old, and I never take selfies and the wife sees me everyday, so I don't have any at all to post, but if we get the snow I expect, she'll probably take a bunch of me on the dozer clearing the road, if I can find it, the road, that is.
