Title: Kanye West & Kim Kardashian Most Influential People
Post by: kroz on April 17, 2015, 05:13:37 AM
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are on the "TIME 100 Most Influential People" list.

http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/gossip/la-et-mg-kanye-west-kim-kardashian-time-100-2015-20150416-story.html (http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/gossip/la-et-mg-kanye-west-kim-kardashian-time-100-2015-20150416-story.html)

Most people just roll their eyes about it .......

I say..... this not only explains the demise of our culture but it shows the paradigm shift in the corridors of power in this Country.
Yes, Hollywood has always had an element of influence on citizens, but it has risen to a whole new level with the most vile in Hollywood wielding the power.  We have turned a corner.

The NICE have been overtaken in "influence" by the VILE.  Time is acknowledging this shift.

This is not saying that most Americans are now vile.  It is saying that the VILE are now firmly steering the Cultural Ship.

Jimmy Stewart is rolling in his grave!

My list is different.

Kroz, I think you're the only person to post a Krashdashian article here.
Please spare us in the future?

Yuk..... I can't stand either one of them.

Isn't "TIME" the same rag that put Obama on their cover with a halo?

I see I failed top use a smiley, add to that a Freudian typo. Good catch Q.

Sorry Kroz, it was more in jest, I forgot the smiley .
But do people really go to the circus anymore just to see the freak show?
These people are akin to a retard botching a joke and people laugh hysterically, not at the joke, but the failure of the retard at his expense.
These people actually have no idea, they are the modern freak show, nothing to do with a cosmetically enhanced appearance, because her wide ass would get charged double on any airline for taking up two spaces.

I guess it's the hypocrisy of the leftist media, in who they choose to hold up as spectacle, because they would never do this to an obvious retard, instead they use the subtle approach.
This really is sad commentary of our crumbling culture, where people with insecurity issues seeking attention are given more than they seek, to the point of abuse, and feed them the illusion they are loved, when in truth, they are being abused.

Does anyone ever take these people aside and explain reality?

No offense taken, Solar.

I think my point was missed in the magnitude of the offensive people selected.

My point, it really didn't matter which Hollywood idiots they picked..... Miley Cyrus, Beber, etc.

The issue is that there has been an acknowledgement that Hollywood IS changing the culture.  Until now, Hollywood has indignantly argued that they are not contributing to or driving the demise of our culture.  When anyone pointed a finger at the movie/music industries as being the source behind the paradigm shift in our national mores, they denied having the power to do that.  They always claimed to merely be reflecting the culture as it exists.  They supposedly lacked the power to change anything.

Now that the bottom of the barrel Hollywood entities have been acknowledged as the powerhouse in our Country, it is impossible to continue to deny their driving force in the culture.  If THEY are the role models, we are nearing the bottom of our long fall from grace as a Nation.  The power lies in the hands of the most base and immoral of people.

THAT is why this TIME acknowledgement is noteworthy.  It is an admission of the power over our Nation wielded by entertainment.

Tis true, we are just short of a Caligula era. if not for the collapse of the Dim party, and the seizing of the GOP, I'd say we were headed for collapse, followed by Fascism.
But I have more than just hope we can turn this around, because people are actually sick of our cultural decay the left has foist upon us.

God knows, I hope I'm right. If not, world war is in order.
We, the U.S., the anchor of stability in the world and the only nation that can hold communism at bay.

I pray you are right also!  But the future belongs to providence.

It is interesting that you referenced Caligula.  He was exactly who I was thinking about when I first read the TIME article.  Caligula was worse, but he was insanely crazy.  Maybe we are just one step away from madness!!

We are so close. I just saw where the show SexBox was dropped due to outrage over it's premise and that kids would see it.
We are still fighting and winning small battles, but still on a slide downward.

I say Caligula era, not because we have a crazy leader, though he is evil. I say it because the only difference between then and now is we're not sacrificing people,....... yet. :glare:

Well, that isn't exactly right either...

We are sacrificing our children right and left to abortion!

But you are right about not gutting adults yet!

Ugh.  Can't wait until they get old and irrelevant.  This generation needs better role models to look up to.

We choose our role models.   There are plenty of good ones out there....... Teebow....  Roma Downey..... just to name a couple......

Our youth do not care to follow the godly.  Sensuality rules the day.

Darkness has long been more appealing than the light.  Without discipline and moral direction in life.... kids fall to the lowest common denominator.

We are dragging bottom.....

If we had people instead of being obsessed with following the Kardashians, became obsessed about things like Elon Musk is doing - interplanetary travel, solar, electric cars, hyperloop...we would be living in a much better world technologically speaking.
