My author just finished book three, so I have a book to edit, plus school starts back up tomorrow after our Christmas break. The Mr. is making excellent progress on the house, and has most of the walls drywalled, which means I need to start cleaning and packing. I won't be far away, I just might be guilty of lurking more than posting for the next little bit.
Glad to hear you have work, and the progress on the house is coming along.
We'll be here. We'll be on lookout for the creeps that seem to enjoy polluting the religion forum.
Progress is good, won't be long before you're in and sitting by the fire.
Just don't stay away too long and lose the addiction to us.
Glad to here about the work. Hope to have you back again soon. Toy
Glad to hear about the progress you are making with the house. i don't envy you having to pack, clean, clean and unpack. i've done it myself and it's no picnic.
I've been "lurking" today. Posted very little in the past week due to the burial of two people. One was the 33 year old son of a posting friend and the other was the mother of my bil. Two funerals and two receptions took almost the whole of last week.
check on us when you can. Good luck with everything you're doing.
Thank you all, I greatly under-estimated the available time I have for editing. I am lucky that my author is very understanding, being a stay-at-home mom herself.
Don't worry Solar, it will take more than missing a few days to get rid of me. Too much going on politically right now to miss checking in for more than a few days.

Don't miss the Religion forum, it's been interesting, to say the least.

Yeah, I noticed what happens when I turn my back for a few days. At least it is reasonably civil. Or as civil as discussions on religious differences can be.

Definitely more civil than politics.
Funny, my mom told me to avoid Religion and politics in conversation, and here I am with a forum posting in both.
The book is done, it only took 1.5 weeks longer than I gave myself. Who knew a newborn would need so much of your time?!!? :scared: :tounge:
Hopefully someday I will consider the effort good enough to ask for compensation, it's been tough keeping up my chocolate habit when I don't earn a paycheck.
So Arthur who is three is editing a book about Christmas in the back of the school while the drywall in your house needs cleaning?
It's only 8AM, but I apparently need more sleep, because I don't understand.

Hehe, Bert's British, and you know Brit humor, straight humor goes over their head, while absurd can crack a rib from laughing.
Remember, always pick a turd up by the clean end....

Snort. Okay, it's all so clear to me now.

As you get to know Brit more you will start to understand his humor more.
Example of Brit humor, the more absurd, the better.
Even though the end of life for these two chaps is inevitable, they are clearly focused on the irrelevant
Oh tosh, I think I left the kettle on.
Really? I hope you purchased the extended warranty.

The only thing missing is a back ground scene, where John Kleese is riding an imaginary horse in pursuit of a sword wielding Bunny Rabbit.
Now that's funny.
