Title: I help my wife.....

How many men out there say this.  Is it a holdover from another generation?  You know the one where the wife/mother stayed home and took care of everything. (house/home, children, shopping, cooking, laundry etc.)  Dad came home after a long hard day at work, ate the nicely prepared dinner, and then relaxed for the rest of the evening.   I understood this generation because it was my generation.  Those thoughts and acceptance of his and her roles were set in and still are today in my case.  I remember once saying to my friend that my (then) husband was babysitting the girls while I was out.  She looked at me and said "They are his kids so he is not babysitting he is being a parent."  Funny thing he was the one who said he would babysit the kids while I was gone.

But what about this generation?

Both most likely work outside the home.  Kids do more than just play outside running around with the neighbors until dark.  And I think the feminist idea of I am woman hear me roar has died.   I know there are women out there, like me, who just can't help themselves.   So will this generation fall into those old roles?  Or will they move forward seeing themselves as equal in the grand adventure of life?

I see this as extremely biased. I hear no mention of the wife helping the man with his chores, be it repairing the roof, changing oil, rotating the tires, digging up and fixing a broken sewer line, replacing the hot water heater etc, it's as if whoever did this video never once considered the man has an entire set of responsibilities outside the house, that it's somehow assumed all that shit gets taken care of by magic?
Hire a maid, that'll shut er up.

My mom and dad always said we all take turns doing the work around the farm (house) that way we can live on our own if need be.  Or make some one a good husband or wife.  My wife stayed home until the last kid was in High school.  But our kid learned there was no such thing as his or her work inside or out side.

Even in this day and age it takes 2 running a household.
