May God bless you both.

Mrs. Tbone and I would have been looking at a sixth wedding anniversary in February. (Although it's fair to say we had a long history prior to our marriage.) We just don't know what's coming, and that's a hard thing to get used to.

I like the philosophy that tells us to live every day as if there won't be another. I think the last thing I ever said to Mrs. Tbone, as she prepared to drive into town for her doctor's appointment, was, "OK, see ya later." I was busy, she was in a hurry, it was just another hot summer day.

I would pay a fortune to be able to tell her just one more time that I love her. I can't express how sorry I am that the last thing I ever said to her was, "OK, see ya later."

Happy Anniversary!!!! CELEBRATE EVERY DAY!!!

My dad passed two years ago, after being married to my mom for 57 years. And here's the kicker -- she wasn't his first wife, or even his second. Mom was his THIRD wife.

The first marriage -- a heated impulse in 1943 as Dad was going off to war -- was annulled within months. The second, after the war, actually lasted six years; no kids. Finally, Dad married Mom in 1954 and everything fell into place. I was born a year later, and three sisters popped out of the oven on a pretty regular schedule, about two years apart.

Myself, I can claim to be married for more than thirty years. Trouble is, I have to carve that time up among a number of different women.  :tounge: :tounge:

These days, it's just me and the cat, Patches. And that's OK for now.

You know I always ask my good wife what she would like to do or have for our anniversary.  For the last 10 years it has always been the same, candle light dinner at home.  As I do 99% of the cooking and all the clean up so that is no problem.  As she has arthritis in her hands bad.  The had part is the gift.  What do you get a woman that has everything, two twenty year olds?

I used to love 110+ in the valley, now, I can't stand 80, I look forward to below freezing.
The only problem with my families gene pool, once we hit 50, we don't need much sleep, I'm down to four and a half hours now.
My late parents needed two a day.

I have been going on 4 hrs. a day for over 50 years.  My brother runs on two a day or less.  I have insomnia if I am awake for 30 seconds after my head hits the pillow.  My wife said I am lucky I like myself.

Naleta and I tried figuring it out the other day, and it's been about 19 years together and nearly thirteen married. You hadn't stumbled into LNF yet, as I recall, when I posted the wedding news and launched my own headlong slide into the abyss. Walks of course was there with the popcorn concession. (I picture Chief Dan George running a marriage bureau....) Ah, memories.

Bachelor life, cooking something and eating it out of the same pan. Or the time the water boiled out and the fire department got called from all the smoke in the house. Separating clothes for laundry? Wow. And what's this stuff about bleach and whitener?

Some dare call it progress.

We were at the Palace of Mean™ for what, two years, before they changed the software and killed the interest? Over at LNF it went about another two before N and I got married, and that was 2002 (I think). I should write this stuff down. That or stop saying it only feels longer.
