Yards except for garden is all clean and ready for winter... Started my winter garden and so far so good. I might be happy, lol. Been canning up a storm, one of our river friends knows this so he brought me  a load of pears off of his tree. Veggies are fun,,, jams will be done after this last load of strawberrys. One of my neices is coming over Saturday she wants to learn.
Meanwhile stepping away from the stove,,,, I have successfully quit smoking. With the help of chantix that is, then again who cares,,,its over! yaaay me!!  On the bad side,,,had to put my Rogerbuddy cat down, we tried everything bit to no  glory.  So its us and Lira the dame social butterfly.whom goes with us everywhere we can take her...
Parties are over at the river,,,thank goodness, planning next years stuff all ready and I think they will be moved so all of them are on our end of the park, to many people are complaining when they are on the north end.   Its a bit stuffy there, lmao.
And now that the filter is coming back to my mouth,,,

Nice to meet you. No, no long at all. Couple months or so. I had a regular forum I used to attend but all the hippy libs ruined it with rude comments and trolling. So I jumped ship and came here. I'm liking it so far as the people seem a lot nicer.

THENNNN,lololol, off to the cabin so we can start the scrub down put away for winter. While at the same time, lmao,,,teaching my niece how to make jam,,,yaaaay,lmao....

It's warming up here...Spring is in the air. I've been away fishing for a bit but came home with a new coconut palm and several boxes of bromeliads...the garden is never far from our thoughts.

Where in Australia do you live? I lived in perth for a year during the infamous reign of Howard  I tell ya one thing, I certainly don't miss the spiders and shit. But very nice country nonetheless.

I'm in Norway and its winter soon now, about 5-15 degrees now with frost on the grass in the morning. And it just keeps on raining most days. Then again summer ended 2 months ago up here

Dear Mountie,

I'm up in Queensland...a little city called Toowoomba. It has rained a little bit here since May but we're slipping back into drought...not a big deal as we have our own bore and stuff. The local big dams are full but strange as it may seem I didn't even see snow until I was about 50 and went to Europe on holidays. it's cool stuff...pardon the pun.

Perth is good so I hear but a bit away from my usual haunts...never actually been there. I did advise a backpacker in Europe who was planning to walk from Cairns to Perth to take a cut lunch.

OK: in Europe you have Bear Grylls and "Man against Wild"...here we call it camping. The spiders are great and I enjoy taking my pet funnel web for walkies. It also keeps the cats away.
