quiller mentioned our Pookie as elegance. October 28th was her birthday, and I prefer to remember that day rather than the January day that she left us. Here is the memorial I made after she was gone.

This one surprised me. I'd forgotten the date, but agree her birthday was a better way to remember her.

Pookie (named after the Soupy Sales puppet character for her markings) was born in our house, given to us by tenants whose son had evidently terrified her, and her whole life was afraid of men, of strangers, and of the outdoors. She was nonetheless regal --- real class no matter what the species.

Thats really nice.
