It reminds me of some geek that spent the last 25 years as the odd man out, then not understanding the World of the biker, decides to get a tattoo and tries to fit in with a group he has only seen in the movies.

The lovely Mrs. Tbone has two tats. Both are small and don't mar her appearance in any way. (One on an ankle -- hard to see, one on her hind-end -- and you BETTER NOT be seeing that one.) Both are idiotic tributes to a love of her past.

Actually her fans do, the ones that bought her books and took her advice. She preached a message from God, a message that your body is a temple.
It's a slap in the face to those that believed her message, and then to turn around and do the opposite, is like finding out your Minister has been having an affair.

True, but I think Dr. Laura's fans are a pretty forgiving bunch, don't you? They've overlooked her divorce, her nine-year shack-up with her current husband before they married, the stink (literally!) about her mother's death, her affair with Bill Ballance and his internet airing of the nudie pics, her 11 "nigger" shots in a single on-air conversation, etc.

This particular "minister" DID have an affair, actually more than one. Yes, she preached God's message, but even she acknowledges that before her 1996 adoption of Judaism, she had no religion at all.

I used to enjoy listening to Dr. Laura but in recent years her soapbox has gotten WAY too tall for me. Add to that the fact that she is consistently and unforgivably RUDE to her callers. (Dr. Laura doesn't like it when you talk while she's interrupting.) I am not surprised that her listenership has been declining for more than a decade.

If her true fans have forgiven her so far, they're not gonna let a tattoo bother them.

When I first discovered her years ago, she came off as a feminist, then she took a 180 and started supporting men.
Thats when I started listening to her, but too many times her faith has gotten in the way of what you and I refer to as core values, and the tattoo is one of them, she as you stated, stood on her soap box and chewed people out for body piercings, only to once again, take a 180 and get a tattoo.

Yes, some will forgive her, but it makes people question her past preachings of values, because she keeps changing her own.

Personally, mine have been consistent all my life, never once wavering.

Yeah, when I think of or hear Dr. Laura, the phrase "feet of clay" just jumps up and presents itself. "Do as I say, not as I do." She could be a poster babe for that expression!  :P

I asked a panhandler once, if he needed money from me, why didn't he go sell me his tattoo (as a joke). He knifed me and I ended up suing him, turns out he had a Harley a boat and a house. He hung himself while in jail.
